Default NTW3 Map Problem; Invisible Hills

I'm finding that the customized (enlarged) maps which feature elevated terrain aren't rendering effectively on my system.

Elevations seem to only be shown for the closest to camera position, and all else beyond just drops off. This leaves trees floating in air etc.

What exactly is the problem here, so I might address it?

    Is this a known issue?

I have looked around but not found anything.

Have you got this problem on all maps?

It's repeatable on Lordz maps that feature large elevations, such as the Savoy Hilltop rebuild.

On moderate elevation maps such as Waterloo, Sierra Du Fuentes, etc. performance is normal.

Try updating your video card drivers. Never seen this before

    My drivers are thoroughly updated.

It behaves much the same as the draw rate of bushes and shrubs do, as they appear when the camera moves closer. Only in this case it is happening to the drawing of the elevated land itself.

If these matters ARE related, perhaps an answer to a side question might lead to a solution; HOW does one go about extending the range of that draw rate for bushes and shrubs, so that they may be seen at a greater distance? Then, is there a parallel setting for the terrain?

As I say, this problem seems to be happening to re-sized or otherwise altered Lordz maps alone.

I don't get this behavior when using even the largest vanilla maps.

As it appears to be a specific problem for my own system, some knowledgeable suggestions for my own research on this issue would be most helpful.
