Ransan, thanks for the info, it does seem like NTW only has the one path, good to know.

It looks like it didn't make it into the xsd when I ported in PFM2's schema. Did a quick update, here are some new schemas, note however that NTW doesn't have that table.

If i want to reload a pack file the detected installation bar comes up blank and i have to click to select the path....fast becoming annoying....previous version didn't have it and was easier and quicker to use.

If neither program can their Common.dll, then you didn't extract the zip file correctly. Your DBEditor folder should look something along the lines of this:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

For Windows 7, right click the zip --> Extract All and choose a folder (or use whatever zip utility you prefer). If you still have problems, post a screenshot of your extracted folder. Also note, that PFM and DBE should not be put into the same folder, Common.dll is different for both programs at the moment.

All backup files DBE creates are named <packname>.pack-backup-<yyyy/mm/dd>-<zulutime>, simply delete everything after <packname>.pack and you should have the pack from before your last save in DBE, no guarantees that one will work, though continuing backward should get you the change that crashes the game.

doesn't seem to work. I modified BUM to match NER and made some minor changes there too...CTD on startup. simple easy changes ... I've done it hundreds of times before with success(ETW).

Not much information to go on, which tables specifically did you modify, and are you sure it isn't just an incorrect value somewhere?

CTD on startup after modifying NER_MAIN.pack

There isn't much to tell except that after modifying the file...nothing happens except CTD after startup.

The obvious question applies, are you sure you input everything correctly?

Less obvious question, if you are sure there are no errors, does PFM have any issues with the same changes?

One of my packfiles is uneditable because of dbeditor. DBE refuses to open any of the files inside of the pack so now I can't edit it at all.

Anybody know how to change the directory? I seem to be having issues getting the Pack Manager to detect my installation. It keeps pointing to the C drive, and when I use the drop down, it's the only option. The thing is, my installation of Empire is on the D drive. D drive does not show up at all on the drop down for the pack file.
