EMPIRE TOTAL WAR NOT STARTING
Hello great conquerors! A fellow friend is need... I bought Empire Total War last summer and wanted to unlock all factions. So I downloaded Husserl's mod. I decided I didn't want the faction mod so I deleted it normally. Now I cant seem to start Empire Total War!I click the game, only for Steam to tell me that its preparing to launch the game and nothing happens... could you guys please help? THANKS!

Maybe you can still start it if you keep the factions mod? There may be references between the two that requires one to use the other.

Minor TW Tools: Savegame Autobackup, RandomSeedChanger, Replay Browser, Preference Editor
My mods: Extended Camera - No Handicap on Normal - Add occupation resistance to AI - FotS Defenses Rebalance
If you're artistically inclined, I could do with some icons for my mods and tools....
Hopefully I'll get around to posting vids in my YouTube channel at one time.

IT ACTUALLY WORKED! it needed the mod... Anyway is there a way I could separate the two?

Considering that it's a playable faction mod, you'll have to find the startpos.esf file that's located in the ETW data folder (under campaigns if I recall correctly) and delete it. Then you'll have to delete the scripts found in appdata/Creative Assembly/Empire/scripts.
After that you'll have to verify game cache using steam. (right click in Steam, click local files, then verify game cache).
