Ok, so I'm doing a semi-screencap by screencap overview of the new trailer. WARNING: MAY BE SPOILERS.

Spoiler for New Star Trek Trailer!: 

James Tiberius Kirk here is involved in a bar fight. Too bad he gets his ass kicked (I think)!

On Vulcan someone is watching their planet get pwned.

Here is Kirk and Sulu making love in mid-air... Nah, they're falling to their deaths. Who will save them?!


In this clip Nero is choking Kirk or something...at least that's the feeling I get.


A bear sort of monster trying to pwn Kirk but then another monster pwns the bear monster.

Baddies are Nero and his lot. He is Romulan I believe. Supposedly in the new movie the Romulans don't have ridges on their heads. Klingons are in it as well. I think Nero is in a Klingon prison in the movie. But to the extent that those races are in it? I know not. To me this sounds like a group of radicals trying to change history than the Romulan Star Empire or Klingon Empire attacking the UFP.

The new baddies remind me a bit of the Romulans from Nemesis. Sorry for my lack of Star Trek knowledge, by the way. I used to like it years ago, but I've forgotten about most of it.

So what do you all think of the new Star Trek film coming out (or is it already released)?

It is coming out in May. I reserve my opinion until I see the movie. I would have an opinion on the Watchmen, but it was so gorgeous outside today that I rollerbladed and worked out. Movies can always wait. So a May release of Star Trek, it might take me a few days until I see the movie.

Yeah. Lets hope the new flick is exceptional. It will be a fitting tribute for those older guys who worked the Trek and loved doing so.
