    Icon4 A few questions.

    I wanted to ask that how can we add movies to custom made historical battles and how do we create one?
    And I am having a problem,
    it is that I cant replace things!
    for eg:

    I got a loading screen and it name is loading_screen 1(I mean it is matching the orignal file), I pasted it in the loading screens folder and It didn't replace it even it is absolutely same!
    So now I have to first open both files in Photoshop and then copy paste the entire loading screen loading screen and paste it in the original Rome's loading screen in order to replace!

    Also any tips to create perfect skins?

    Please help!!

    Just go to the battle editor, load a map tile, add two armies, their deployment zones and units and voila. The editor isn't hard to use, you'll get the hang of it. As for movies, not sure what you mean there.

    Are you sure you saved your new screen in the proper format and everything?
    Also, I'm not sure if the game will use the mod-folder's loading_screens folder if it ahs fewer than a certain small) number of loading screens in it. Try making 5 copies of your screen and renaming them (1 to 5), and see if the game uses them then.

    Also any tips to create perfect skins?
    Start with making mediocre skins, then make more skins until they are good, and then make some more until they are excellent. And then make some more, until they are close to perfect.

    I know how to make historial battles but I want to know ow to make and add movies, from movies I mean the play which is present on the start of a historical battle and they tell the information and tips! You have added on in viking invasion 2's historical battle!

    Second,
    I am having a problem like whether it is a .tga, .dds or .text file I have to edit it and not take a new file it which means I cant even create a mod-folder because the game will not open the changes!

    I see. That's a script that runs on the background. It's not very simple creating a new one, which is why vey few people bother with HBs. The one in VI2 is a copy of the battle of Chalons script, it wasn't made from scratch.

    Sounds to me like you've not set up your mod-folder right then.

    There is a BareBones mod for RTW 1.5 in the Downloads/RTW section, with just the bare essentials for a mod-folder; you could use that as a base - ir you could just download it to see how it's set up.

    It goes into data\world\maps\battle\custom\name_of_battle.
