I checked my SS6.4 folder and I couldn't find set up

Been playing with ERE (late campaign) H/H difficulty and having a blast with it ! Now for the next campaign I am considering Seljuks, Denmark, Castile and France (free to suggest other factions too except for England and Scotland). It is worth noting the next campaign I will be going for VH/VH difficulty so basically I am looking for a faction with both good starting position and interesting starting position.

I would also like some pictures from some SS units, the ones I would like to see are Janissaries and Conquistadores (free to show some other cool elite units too).

perhaps cause they've been overused too much, they're a starting players choice no-matter what way you shake it

True, and the starting position is pretty easy too, only 1 other faction is competing against you for all those provinces and after you take them you can just build up your economy.

All of these points are true, and add to that I have played either England or Scotland too much in various different TW games so I prefer to play other factions now.

    BUMP for my previous post!

What is the difference between the late and early campaigns, anyway?

The starting year, obviously, you dont have the extra 120 years like in the early era, but they are mostly you rolling around the map with militia units.

In the late campaign you have different starting positions for most factions(byzantines have lost many of their provinces for example) and more factions to start playing as - Teutonic order and Golden horde come to mind.

    how about the crusader states?
in early campaign its dificult because their regions are divided. and in late is also dificult because many islamic factions shares borders with you. and in turn 10 or less, teh egyptians will be at war with you, an uneven one in which you might loose

Why not try Norway? You can easily blitz Denmark and take all of Scandinavia as your own, before launching a campaign against England and Scotland

Crusader States does sound tempting, very difficult campaign too I assume.

Norway also taken into consideration, possibly a good first faction to go for VH/VH.

CS have a hard beggining, but if you take the egyptian castles they cant produce any horse archers and you just have to go trough all the militia after that, but with your heavy can it should be a piece of cake.

The Crusader States is one of the most fun factions to play as, because you're basically at war with Islam for the entire game, and taking back the Holy Land
It's actually not an incredibly hard campaign, although you do have to be careful of the Golden Hoarde as they come in in 1220.
