    I think the problem with the list is that people in less religious countries tend to count themselves as non-religious rather than atheist. I didn't for example even know about the concept of Atheism until introduced to the internet. I just don't have any supra-natural beliefs.

    Lord Mov,

    Would it come as a surprise to you to know that the ancient Chinese had more or less the very same Gospel story and belief as does Christianity today? Like all the nations who had believers this Gospel was diluted just as the disciples warned against. Now China is seeing a revival albeit slow, but then time is a wonderful thing.

    Hardly Global when you leave out a bunch of countries, some even among the most developed there is...

    Anyway it's good to see that religion is in decline in countries that matters!
