A messenger arrives in Sicyon carrying urgent news from the North seeking Aegialeas. He is escorted to see the Strategos,
"Strategos, I carry urgent news from Leosthenes. Antigonus has defeated the coalition army in battle near Orchomenus, but he has managed to evade capture and should be in Athens by now with a small army... He urges the Achaeans to march on Athens to prepare for a confrontation with Antigonus and his pawn, Heraclitus!”
The messenger then collapses from exhaustion after the long run.

Aegialeas Marches to Athens
After much deliberation amongst the League's councils, Strategos Aegialeas has ordered, with the full blessing of the league, a march to Athens to relieve them of the siege. Now that the goat-herding Aetolian dogs have defected, he has no qualms about joining the Athenians on the field of battle. He fears Macedonian dominance of Greece and will fight to defend it. After making the proper sacrifices to the Gods, Aegialeas orders his men to march to Athens by land from Corinth, while a token force is left to defend the city.
In addition, he dispatches the Achaean fleet to rendezvous with the Athenian fleet near Athens.
The Achaean League is placed under the Command of the Athenian Player

The Roman Struggle | Marcus Licinius Scipio - Proconsul of Gallia Transalpina
Council of Corinth
Though I have for all purposes be considered your enemy, I have yet to face you on the field of battle. Your determination in the face of all that has occurred is legendary to say the least. I wish to let it be known that I, and more importantly for you Antigonus, wish to remain free of the affairs of Greece and recognize both your independence and the independence of the Boetian League. Know that I bear to ill will towards you or your allies, and I hope that the gods see you through the famine that you are experiencing.
