Family and Background History

Vinicio is from the Phanatius family, an old patrician family that has suffered and struggled for a long time. The family was wrongly accused for plotting to bring back the last king of Rome, Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, and had most of their property were seized by the republic. The Phanatius' then struggled for hundreds of years and the accusation hanging over the members of the family slowly disappeared with time and they are now planning to regain everything they've lost and have sworn to rise to the top of the S.P.Q.R. Vinicio was the second son of the old head of the family, Silvius Phanatius Caecus, who recently died of old age. Vinicio's older brother, Maximus Phanatius Caesar, should have inherited the family's wealth, but Silvius surprised many when Vinicio was declared heir. Maximus, enraged by the father's last decision, challenged his brother to a duel but was initially defeated. The rest of the family then recognized Vinicio as the new head. He went for a political career in the Senate and is the first of the family to qualify to the Senate. He is known to be a bit overprotective of his little sister, Vita, and doesn't let anyone he do not deem worthy enough to speak to her.
