No, unfortunately Choma does not fit on the map because of nearby Bayburt.
Excellant preview. I don't know much about Medieval Mesopotamian history but looks like I'll be able to learn a fair bit from this mod
Really nice. Previews are always welcome though I'm quite happy myself that they aren't so huge. It can only mean that it didn't consume too much time
Beautiful preview as always, and thanks for standing in for the other mod members who are busy !
Stunning preview. You can say all kind of things about DoTS, but you can't deny you guys are certainly very ambitious, creative and knowledgeable.
But could you please explain the political situation? I thought Syria was still part of the Seljuk empire at this point, but it is independent?
Sounds like Egypt I'd love to see Persia too.The next preview will be about a land of great tradition and wealth, but also of troubling differences.
I will be explaining the Middle Eastern factions in more detail near the end of this series of previews, when I'm finished with the provinces. You are right that Syria is somewhat of an awkward faction, but I will need to explain it in a broad context and that would simply take too much time right now. So patience young padawan, all shall be explained in time
Trust me, Persia has received all the love and care in DotS that it requires. I've always felt that in every mod Persia is present, it's heavily underrepresented, and I've done everything to prevent that from happening in DotS. You'll have to wait a little longer to see the results though.
Your awesomeness knows no boundaries
These maps are just gorgeous, but I wonder what the status is on the navigable rivers feature?
It's one of the most ambitious features of the mod, I could only imagine the amount of work that would go into implementing something like this
awesome, this is so awesome

Looks amazing (again), do I speed up the release by guessing that the preview will feature Eastern Anatolia; the Byzantine Empire, Armenia, etc?? Can't wait!

Not exactly sure what you mean to ask there, but if you mean whether or not this series of previews will feature the area of modern-day Turkey, for which Giorgios has already announced a preview, then the answer is yes, that preview will be posted here. The European holdings of the Byzantine Empire will not be featured here, but that does not mean that they won't be previewed sometime in the future.
By release I meant release of this preview series ;P But I'm looking forward to hearing more about the Byzantine;s and anything that looks as great as the previous two previews.

This and EB II will probably change the way we play Total War forever.

Its so true.
It makes me sad that CA is busy implementing things like unit veterans and useless agent trees when there is much to be addressed in terms of the core design concept of the game.
Finally conquering a province means having to deal with SEVERAL castles and strongholds before it can be truly yours. Its how it should be!
I am amazed. Just amazed. Never seen such an detail in ANY medieval 2 Kingdoms mod. Really stunning work!
Nice preview
