Is a major expansion for Shogun2 likely?

Rome2 is coming, and with it being the biggest TW-game yet it's pretty clear they are going to focus on it. But 1,5 years is a pretty long time - do you think there is a chance we are going to see a big expansion/update for Shogun(eg, the size of FotS) during this time?

They already mentioned that most of their staff have moved over from Shogun 2 to Rome 2. We might see some more DLC, probably in the form of unit packs for FOTS, but I suspect that this is it.

I would doubt it, they've kind of covered the major wars in Japan, haven't they? At best I could see some unit packs released, maybe some new historical battles, but I doubt we'd get another expansion like Fall of the Samurai.

im stoked about rome 2, but i wouldn't have minded if they had done a Mongolian invasion expansion and postponed rome for a bit. oh well, hopefully ca comes through with mod tools some day

As much as I'd really like to see some Korea and China expansions, I don't think it's gonna happen. It is likely though they'll use Fall of the Samurai's engine for upcoming games, like the fabled "Victoria".

I hope they keep on patching the game, but I don't expect any major expansion. Besides, there is already plenty of content for shogun. I think it's time to move on anyway.

No, it's NOT expansion... It's new campaign, NOT expansion for "old" game.
But I think, really expansion for S2 (NOT new campaign!, will never out )

I expect 1-2 more dlcs, most probably for FotS, some Unit Pack i guess. Larger expansion definitely not, we have already 3 different campaigns and Rome 2 is not so far away.

Imjin War. But that would require MORE effort than even FOTS entails, so I dont see it likely, no matter how much I'd wanted it. It would even be MOAR AWESOME THAN ROME II. :suprise:

Little dlcs yes big expansion no..... time to move on at least we got 2 extra campains and quite a few dlc packs CA's support for S2 has been pretty solid i only hope they still patch it a little

I just hope something comes out that enables the modders to expand the map or add objects to units. That way we can get an expanded map with Hokkaido, the Ryukyus, Korea and even China.
But I wont be holding my breath.
