Napoleon total war is running slow no lag

Ive played 268hours of this game with the same graphics options throughout the whole time ran like a charm. Then I had to download a modded bios so i could manually switch my graphics card so i could play shogun 2. Currently running on my highest gpu amd radeon 6650m with intel core i5 2.4ghz turbo to 3.0. But for some dam reason shogun 2 runs without flaws but napoleon has slowed down the camera slowed down and everything feels sluggish but theres little to no lag. Have the same graphics options for both games 1 runs well the other sluggish and slow. Any suggestions why and how to fix would be nice

I'd say delete the preferences script and verify the game cache. This will give the game a chance to figure out what to do with the new BIOS.

Did it ran the game still no difference it said one file failed to validate and was reacquired dnt kno what that means. Is there anything else i can do?

Could it be bc of my directx11 since shogun runs on directx11 and napoleon on directx 9

It has nothing to do with it. If the dx9 drivers were not installed Napoleon would not start at all.

Try updating the graphics drivers at www.amd.com and hope they are not proprietary.
Try updating the High Definition audio codecs at www.realtek.com.tw as yours are last year's.

Other than that, have you defragged your harddrive lately?

My graphics drivers are up to date bc i already ran napoleon without any problems, Dnt think it has anything to do with the audio. I defragged something it was on steam it was an option to defrage game cache i think, pretty sure i didnt defrag my harddrive what does that do?

Defragging your harddrive puts all the little pieces of files back in one contiguous piece instead of scattered all over your harddrive and making Windows find each one before loading the next file.

After installing Win 7, all the drivers and thier updates and all Windows Updates, my harddrive was 25% fragmeneted and I have not even loaded anything fun, yet.

So is that the only option i have left? And how do u defrag ur harddrive and is there a chance it could harm something like lets say i do it and shogun wont start up is there a chance for that?

It has three defrag levels. I use the one that does the most optimization.

Well thanx for the help but i dnt think it has anything to do with defragging. Il just figure it out some how. Im more into shogun right now anyway
