becoming quite a sensitive topic for 'strong' opinions to clash, i think the topic was made for an understanding from two points of view about CA's latest adventure.

Lets actually make a useful thread out of it so CA if they are reading can maybe look on a small spectrum how fans are feeling pre-release of Rome 2.

Lets not get carried away with arguing about something that could be productive.

Don't spoil something which critically could be important for everyone to see, there could be someone new reading this all and maybe given to opportunity, have a better understanding of all those other riled up threads of heavy criticism and spiteful distaste to ETW and NTW on this forum.

    Come on guys.

Hunchback/awkward pose units have already been confirmed by Jack Lusted. It's been several years now and they still don't fix that stupid animation? Under the pretext that it is a "battle pose"? Give me a break.

Probably because ca has shown again and again you don't believe their hype, because its 90% lies and half truths and that their games are usually very buggy on release. Shogun 2's mp is still broken, etw was unplayable. I'm not planning on buying this after finding shogun 2 so bad I quit PC gaming for the most part. I'm just here to watch the forums implode. Rome was an amazing game and only if this game looks like the most bug free complete game ever will i consider giving ca my money ever again.

Cant wait for the DLC fest either i remember when they made complete games. Praetorian will be DLC.

    Thread cleaned up.

I will leave this open for a bit longer in case anybody has anything else to say (on topic) and can say it in an appropriate manner.

    Ha! Naivety at its best.

People have a right to be cautiously negative regarding CA`s future work especially after past evidence with the propaganda that SEGA clearly orders CA to say. It`s also a good way for CA to test the wind for what they should or shouldn`t do.

We`ve told you this enough times, but you don`t seem to get it. And pictures of gorillas impresses no one except yourself.

A plea to CA: Please give us NON-STEAM OPTIONS such as with GOG.COM`s Alan Wake and Witcher 2, etc. Even allow a system such that Mount and Blade Uses. Many of us will pay extra for a Steam-free version of RTW2.
The use of STEAM-ONLY by CA is ethically wrong because:
    1. It does not need to be forced. It could be optional as other games have proven.
    2. It discriminates between internet users and non-users or those who simply do not want it.
    3. The `advantages` are only advantages in a very small and superficial manner. They do not counter the disadvantages.
    4. It suits the company way more than the user. We are simply told it`s better for us
Finally,I shall not give CA|SEGA my money for RTW2 while it forces Steam on me. They have given us no good reason why it must be so. Basically they don`t care.

A Steam Option would benefit ALL. Don`t fight us, JOIN us.
    Games don`t need forced Steam

I like Steam, nothing you say can change that . Anyway Steam is not what this topic is about, tis about overly negative comments on things that people don't yet know about or things that cannot or will not be changed.

Being negative over silly things e.g.

What I find funny is people bashing CA and their games while on a forum based around their games. I personally enjoyed Empire total war, I played it for 157 hours (though I bought it way after release so there wasn't so many bugs as people say there was).

If CA never lives up to its word and it's games disappoint so much the way people on this thread say, why not just move on to a game/company that meets your expectations better? I guess I just don't see why the same 5-10 cynical people continue with their gripes and demands on how the game "must be". It's just a game, and you are free not to like it and try something else.

This from the first page of your thread if you ever bother to read it

Since this forum regroup all total war games it's just normal.

Ironically you are just complaining about people having a different opinion than you.

And deciding it's pointless to complain about steam only because you personally like it show you won't bother to understand people with different opinion.
