True, but when Barcelona trained on Monday, you know, the training that is supposed to let you get to know the state of the pitch, I bet you it was in a very different state. That's what I'm talking about.
despite the fact that it was a good 40 minutes before you posted. You know what, screw it.

Barcelona were soundly beaten. Hopefully Rosell and the team will take notice and sign a good defender instead of drooling over Neymar.

Actually no, I didn't reply to it because I didn't even see it.

    What egoistic Barca Team Management:

Playing away from Home and with no Protection to the back: If u have Alex Song , When are u going to play him if u do not play him in these games.. Play a 4-4-1-1 with 2 Defensive Midfielders..

    Anyway,
we got outplayed in every aspect of the game, it was humiliating but thats football. Bayern are a machine and looks like they won't be stopping any time soon.

Seems to me that they didn't have any other options at the back. I think torongill or someone else has mentioned this already, but Puyol and Adriano are injured and Abidal is still in the process of getting back to full match fitness iirc, Mascherano is another one that is laid up. Bartra has a great deal of promise but that was a baptism of fire to come into a game like the one last night. What was apparent was that Barcelona lacked the energy and fitness of Bayern even if we do allow for the heavily watered pitch. The Catalans are not only known for their superb passing game but their energy and workrate off the ball but I didn't see much of that last night.

Given the regular injury problems that Abidal and Puyol have suffered, then I feel Barca need to go into the market for a top class partner for Pique. The full back area is also a concern - Alves and Alba are showponies that always look good going forward when Barca are dominant but looked exposed when they come up against decent opposition, especially those that have the quality of players like Robben and Ribery. A hint to the Barca directors, get someone like Philip Lahm that can both attack and defend and has something like a proper footballing brain.

    ^^Exactly....

its not the players fault ...if they dont preform at their best there should be a coach somewhere in the pitch to change the course of the game ... tito got it wrong from the start sanchez is terrible through whole season and gets starting place in most important game of the season, instead of villa and even tello who lack experience but he could do much better against lahm and alaba because his speed ... not many ppl watched the last game abidal played 90 and it was a perfect match so he deserved a start bearing in mind his is ABIDAL not yong boy who try a lot but experience is needed in these games ...and like i said when everything went wrong for whole game tito makes one sub villa IN with 7 minutes remaining.

iniesta and alba are not playing next leg

Putting cash on Barcelona is never a good idea - the odds are awful, and it's a difficult ask to go win at the Allianz. Hate to say I told you so to everyone silleh enough to put cash on Barca, but I told you so!

This is going to be another Mourinho year. I put a nice fat bet on Real Madrid winning the competition before the first CL game was played, so it better bloody happen. I think Bayern got their tactics right last night against Barca. Or rather, Barca got their's all wrong. They underestimated the attacking threat Bayern pose. I don't rate Tito nearly as highly as Pep Guardiola, and I don't see him surviving as Barca manager for any significant period of time - health issues aside.

Tonight's game all Madrid need do is get a goal or two and prevent Dortmund being out of sight for leg 2. I've put some dollar on a 2-2. At the moment, Germany are 5-0 up on Spain mind!

Not even a replay for the goal, which makes me think it's a certain offside. Stupid German producers.

Edit: Nevermind, he's onside. Well played Lewandowski!

Dear me, what is happening with the Spanish teams? Or more correctly,

What are they giving those Germans? Oh, right, German beer.

Hell, I'm unable to watch the game live, but it seems Borussia are outclassing Real in every aspect. The defense has tamed Ronaldo & Co, something few teams can boast they have done. At least ten minutes more, of course.

And it's over. Have Barcelona and Real grown complacent??

Still there's the return leg. See you next week, guys.
