    "a pleasure to meet you."

Indeed. I do not believe we have met. A pleasure all the same. You are lord...?

    Alfred smiled.
A pleasure , Earl William. Now, what was the reason for this sudden visit?
Alfred gestured to a servant to fetch some wine for the two lords.

"I am here today with a... err... proposal,"

    He smiled

"one that would benefit us both greatly."

He gestured to a side room away from the Earls main hall,

"May I suggest we take this somewhere more... private?"

William sat back and sipped the wine,

"We're going to join together, and then we're going to take Wales."

    He smiled,

"An invasion to unify these two countries under one banner, ours."

    William scratched his head thoughtfully,

"No, but we shall erode them, one province at a time. We will use tactics to our advantage, your soldiers know the land and mine come from a long line of hardy warriors. We can win this."

    He smiled reassuringly,

"And the rewards will be great, indeed."

    Alfred nods.
The glory, yes. But riches? unless sheep are a precious commodity, few things of value are found there. But I suppose it will be for the greater good of England, so I will accept your offer.

"Ahah, you do not see the bigger picture my friend."

He smiled laying down a map on the table before them and pointing at the channel between Wales and Ireland,

"We would have the best access to this land over anyone else in the Kingdom. A successful invasion here could mean, in the long run, the subjugation of that land by our men as well and yes, there would be riches"

    Alfred mused.
I see your reason. so this is a mere stepping stone to an invasion of ireland?

"Ahh, Dragonholm. This is the place, I don't think we will find any cheese mad guards here" Nena told her brother, it was definitely a lot bigger than the last castle they had visited and seemed a lot more civilized.
"Well we have a bit of money left so lets find an Inn before anything else, I am shattered after that climb" Sean admitted, it was not often he admitted that he was tired so he must be really tired.
"I like your plan, lets find a pair of beds" Nena agreed, following her brother into the city.

A man crookedly smiled at the pair as they accidentally entered the city slums.
Your in the wrong place, sunshine.
However, a guardsman came along and chased him off.
You want to get out of the slums. You'll probably catch some sort of disease.
A bell could be heard tolling faintly, as well as a man shouting "Bring out Yer Dead!

"It does seem so, unless the street has some how turned itself into an Inn" Sean told the man before he was chased off by a guard. "Me? Catch something?" He asked before bursting into laughter which was quickly cut off by Nena's sizeable palm connecting with his head.
"Do you know where there is an Inn around?" Nena asked the guard, everyone was as small around here as they where in her village.

the guard nodded, and found he couldn't stop, but he told them anyway.

Just down the road, turn right, then you should see a sign saying " the sheeps wool" that's your bets bet.

"Thank you" Nena said, reaching down to give the guard a hug, it was a common form of gratitude in her village and Nena did not see any reason it should be different here.
