Sir Rufus arrives to see the King. He is unarmed and asks for simply an audience.

Sir Longmember arrives at the royal court and patiently awaits an audience with the King...He is garbed in his best wares; a maroon tunic, white leggings and supple-black boots. They were not as extravagant as the clothes of the other Lords - however they were the only clothes that Edward Longmember owned that were not stained with sweat, blood, or other bodily fluids...

With a resounding bah, Earl William leaves the castle, rather pissed that he came all the way to Greenwich for nothing.
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

    Alfred remained still.
Yes your majesty, I have come to reaffirm my oath of fealty to you, and to ask if there is anything that you would require of me.

"I need no Knights of Honour currently, of whom I know nothing about whatsoever. I would suggest, Sir Baldwin that you go to your liege in Leicester. Then maybe when you have proven yourself, we can have something for you to do."

Baldwin bowed and then turned to leave.

Countess Isabel remains for a while after the meeting, waiting for her turn to meet with the King after other nobility have done so.

    Alfred nodded.
I Alfred Wessex, swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Henry, his heirs and successors, so help me God if I fail to uphold this oath, as I will receive just and fair punishment for such treachery.

A longer life expectancy, heh. No, sire, nothing in particular.

For this, you need not an army of warriors, but an army of God. We must create, Your Majesty, a Holy Order of Theologians. A group of clergymen and laymen who together train into a potent force for Christendom and convert the recently conquered heathens in the Holy Land to the Truth."

I was at a friend's house and got permission to spend the night there, when I felt that I'd made the wrong choice and prayed about it being the right one to stay at the friend's house. I still felt it wasn't, so I called for a ride home. I got home seven minutes after my mother died. Don't ing tell me that there is no God.
