Me too. I'll be playing it excessively even in the wake of Rome 2.

I see the work remaining is a big bulk, what about releasing it in smaller chunks instead of the 200+ units in one go? That way we can also be testing and you can alternate between bug-fixing and model converting XDD Seriously, you guys are awesome for attempting this.

Doing it in pieces has a good chance of messing it up: the EDB is firmly connected to it. If you have downloaded the map teaser have a look how the EDB looks now - all the recruiting lines with a semi-colon in front need to be adapted\cross checked to entries in the EDU. I rather have the EDU in place and finalized (regarding adapted units) and then check the implementation in the EDB (and get it over and done with). The day that happens is the day I will compile, test the installer and release.

I am aware the modders at 1mod are working on a M2TW version of this mod (same map, just enlarged), but I do not know how far they are. We will just potter on with this version in the meantime, an English version may take a good while to materialize from 1mod. The two links I have are underneath:

Ah the Romance of the Three Kingdoms era, I loved that era.

Quick question will this mod have the era of: The Rise of Yellow Turban/The Corruption of the Ten Eunuchs/The Han's Last Breath/The Tyranny of Dong Zhou/ Early era of the ROTK?

    -Thank you-

We are starting in 196 and are using 12 turns per year. As I am really not very familiar with the history as such I can only assume that whatever can be sensibly build in will most likely appear. Seether will be able to shed light on that.

It really depends on how we go about redoing the troop trees and units after the Beta release. I could see a 217/218 scenario (pre-Battle of Fancheng), which was basically the birth of the three kingdoms scenario.

Gigantus can correct me, but the Beta release will be months away. How many months? Who knows.

Gigantus would be able to give a more reasonable timeframe, but I don't think he (or any other modder, for that matter) really likes to give out estimated dates for release(s).

As far as beta testers, I might be wrong but I believe it will be an open beta. The beta version and the "release version" will be entirely different animals as many things will be changed between the two. For example, I plan on adding another 5 factions to the release version than what will be seen in the beta version. Also, we might completely redo the troops, units, and recruitment trees for the release version.

Is the unit roaster going to be the same as the RTW Romance of the Three Kingdom, or is there going to be a regional thing where you can recruit a certain troops from certain region

The initial release will have the same unit roster, but we are already throwing ideas around about changes.

Digging myself through the conversions. It feels as I am not getting anywhere, despite doing a few models every day...

After getting super depressed over reading about the debacle that was ROTK XII, I came learned about you guys and your intense work on this mod. Keep up the great work guys, totally appreciate your efforts.
