Manning came back from a neck injury. No player has ever come back from a neck injury and still performed at an elite level.

^Unless I'm misremembering, it was a herniated disk though. No broken broken bones in the neck which would have been career ending if not life altering/threatening. People get herniated disks all the time. It's common even if Manning suffered complications from the injury.

I can't remember another running back whose had any type of a normal season after tearing his acl or mcl the next year, let alone tearing both and having a career year.

It was a nerve injury on his throwing shoulder/neck.

^Which was caused by the disk being out of place. That's what herniated disks do as they compress the spinal cord. Not trying to underwrite Manning's comeback obviously.

Not Charles Johnson Mango? He's had a great comeback year as well. Granted it was only for 1 ACL instead of his 3rd, but he still bounced back great.

Amazing game by the Vikes. Had cheesehead fans all around my townhouse and were cheering everytime GB did something. I gave them all a loud what for when Walsh booted the game winner. Happy for you Juke, 9 yards would have been the trifecta but the win imo is better. I rated it Playoffs, Record, MVP in that order a couple of weeks ago. Break the record and a loss or Win but come up short? Gonna be super tough to beat Pack in GB but with AP/Walsh combo, a turnover or 2 caused by the D and Ponder playing decent to well I think we can win.

Love that Indy won against the collapsing Texans. Not even a bye..........

Watched the end of the GB-Vikes game at Chicago's O'Hare airport. It was really fun until the end when, you know, the Bears were knocked out of the playoffs.

Yep, not going to hide. If you look back to the last page you'll see me posting about Lovie Smith. We sucked.

A 7-1 start and missing the playoffs? Heads will roll and I fully hope it's both Lovie and Mike Tice. Lovie's given us nine great seasons, sure, but this season has really stung.

Tice. Has anyone done less with such a talented roster? I mean really. Cutler is a good-to-great QB most days (prone to occasional meltdowns but that's survivable). Brandon Marshall is a freak of nature, Earl Bennett ripped off 100 yards yesterday and is a perfect complement to a double-coverage receiver. Kellen Davis, our TE, is a bum. So many dropped passes and for a guy who's 6-7 with a 34" vertical he should be a nightmare to cover given Marshall, Bennett and Jeffrey on the field.

So many times, Marshall will be having a big game and Tice will run the ball on third-and-x often into a brick wall at the line of scrimmage.

    Goodbye both of them.

We gave you your QB, we gave you your #1 seed, but when its time for the AFC Championship game it's time to do some taking.

The problem is that they've been entirely overrated this season because of their cushy schedule and teams have realized that once you stop the run they fall apart.

Either Adrian Peterson or Calvin Johnson for MVP, I don't think Peyton has made as much of an impact as they have. Not to downplay what Peyton is doing, but he's being Peyton.

True, but I be more worry about your team right now. Luck is good but he's no Peyton yet.
