    He's the Chargers new OC.

I feel bad for the Cards because they HAD the next great HC on their staff in Rey Horton. Now he's going to go to some great team, turn their defense into a powerhouse, then take a job next season. While the cards proceed to lose ALL of their young up and coming talent and fall back into being the worst team in the NFL again.

Thoughts on the new HC for the Bears? Apparently the guy is a quarterback guru.

I like the hire. Emery's done a good job for us this time, 17 candidates interviewed before making the choice.

Trestman's got experience in the NFL (20 years) and has gone to the CFL Championship Game 3 times in 5 years, winning it twice I think. QBs have much love for him from what I've read.

I listened to the introductory press conference and liked what I heard too, liked his style and his proposed approach.

Everybody always thought he'd return to the NFL as a HC, it's just been a matter of when.

The man built Rich Gannon and Steve Young into who they became. That 95' 49ers passing offense where Jerry Rice couldn't be stopped was all Trestman. The man's a genius on the offensive side of the ball. Amazing hire, I think it'll be perfect for the organization, and for Jay who worked WITH Trestman when he was coming out of Vandy.

In LOL worthy news, the Browns brought NFL network analyst Micheal Lombardi (no relation to Vince) back to the orginization as their new VP of Player personnel and GM. Lombardi's lone claims to NFL fame were kicking Bernie Kosar out of town and drafting a Fullback 9th overall. He took a young, super talented team and turned them into a joke that even Belichick couldn't fix.

And I'n my Bills news, we've pretty much brought in Marrone's entire college staff to the team, making us an over glorified college team. FP is not happy.

Belichick didn't have enough time, Modell sold the team out from under him. He took them to the playoffs in 94, started 95 3-1 and the team gave up when the sale was announced.

    Just saying.

Look on the bright side...it can't get any worse.

As for Trestman, I thought I heard or read somewhere that he coached up Tebow in a camp prior to the draft.

Trestman was OC at NC State a few years back. He wasn't that good.

Trestman made him develop a short, compact, quick throwing motion in the 6 weeks he worked with him before the draft.

The only problem is that once he went into live game action, the hitch came back and Tebow never had all the teaching take, he reverted back to his old motion and stayed with it. He's a pro OC, his offense is built to work better in the pro's, the bears will do well under him I think.

I'll try to find a video of Tebow's "new" motion.

    Edit: Here we go.

I was watching how he reduced wind up and release time but how many game time opportunities were there?

My 9ers over the Falcons and the Patriots over the Ravens.

My gut tells me to go with the Patriots in the SB but I refuse to give them any concession. 49ers win it all

    My Rankings:
    1. Patriots
    2. 49s
    3. Ravens
    4. Falcons

The reality is that Tom Brady is, assuming he wins this Superbowl, the greatest Quarterback of all time between his stats and his ability to carry teams to rings. However he's going to have to get past the Ravens and the 49ers. I will never root for the Ravens although unlike Fluttershy I recognize that they are a valid threat to the Patriots. The reality is that the Patriots do blow important games to inferior teams with inferior play. I don't think they will this year. I think statistically they have to win this time given how long it's been since they've closed the deal, however that's not the kind of reasoning you want to have. I mean we let the Texans come back when they should have been beaten. We still won by a lot, but they had a really good rally. The Texans were a paper tiger. I'm skeptical the Ravens or 49ers will be.

Frankly I can't get behind the Ravens because I hate them (which is weird because I'm a fan of the Terrapins and to a lesser extent John Hopkins in college lacrosse and I like the Orioles (see I'm not a band wagoner, they aren't even that good) as my second after the Sox (historically speaking, I don't care for the modern Sox at all.) I like Maryland.) I'm also not going to support the 49ers they traded Joe Montana. I mean it's Bro Montana, what the were they doing? The Falcons are under-dogging so I'm curious to see how they do.

God if the Ravens beat the Patriots. I'm going have to challenge my nemesis to a duel. He's been jocking my steeze for too long, being way better looking and more charismatic than me, having a similar vanity license plate (forcing me to up the ante by making it a comparative adjective by adding an -er), and liking the wrong sports teams. I mean I did seduce his sister, but he's still my nemesis whether he knows it or not.

    It's on!

A lot, his first pre-season was supposed to show case his new motion. It took all of one play for him to revert.

Edit: Not good for the 9ers

I heard about this when I woke up. The police haven't charged him and they say he's made himself available for questioning and followups. It also seems the alleged assault happened in a hotel room in the early hours of the morning. Sounds fishy.

What makes a real American? A cowboy hat? Enjoying a fine T-bone
steak? Going to a baseball game? Shooting a gun? Maybe it’s the freedom to go
into a poor country and tell them how to do things?! Heh! Those are all great
qualities! But one thing that makes a true patriot is the ability to choose
an American car! When you buy an import you take a hot meal off a hard
working American’s table. There, there! This poor girl is going
to starve to death, just because you bought a cheaper, more efficient
Maibazu. Without gross symbols of excess, what will Americans have to look up
to? Our great industries is a threaten! Cars, pornography, armaments! And
they need your help! So the next time you buy a car, a piece of adult
literature or a missile defense system! Make sure you do the American thing!

? An accident? They got lucky and rolled the Timmy Tebow Bronco's, should have lost to the Ravens, and got out played by the Giants and got beat.

There was nothing "accidental" about it, they got beat, purely, simply, objectively, beat.

Yea, at this stage I'm inclined to lean towards the athlete and let the info come out, he hasn't been charged so, won't effect his eligibility tomorrow, but it might have an impact mentally.

lol, I think your bias is showing

Pats got "lucky" when curb stomping the Broncos and only beating the ratbirds by 3... but were "objectively beat" when they lost to the Giants by 4.

Holy crap the mental gymnastics you put yourself through to come to your conclusions are astonishing

Um, did you watch the game?

There can be an objectively beaten team and only lose by a TD. It happens all the time.

They did get lucky to play the Broncos, Tim Tebow couldn't handle it and it showed, it was a cake-walk. The Ravens only lost by 3 and should have won the game, you're lying to yourself if you think they didn't get outplayed and should have been beaten. The Giants did outplay them and did beat them.

But no, yea, it's my biases.
