GREAT IDEAS for ROME 2
====================
(1) Sub Factions per Nation
*Rome - Etruscan, Sabine, Samnite, greek cultural regions
*Selecuid - Syria, Persian etc cultural regions
*Ptolemaic - Egypt, Levant, etc cultural regions
(2) Roman Laws
* Change Rome everytime you play by the laws you enact.
(3) New Diplomat Agent - Leader of the Poor
* Negoiate with the have-nots to change egalitarism in your society
I would say no hope, but when I read the interview and actually saw that they are following what we are talking about, I now say 2%-5%.
Is this a joke? I'VE COURSE NONE
since when has CA modified one of their games according to what their community want? Not since I can remember
I had a 'great' idea, it was buried within seconds. I don't know if they'll pick anything up. If they do, it's probably not more than 0.05%.
What constitutes a 'great' idea is pretty much up to your own opinion.
I think if everyone could put their ideas in a online database with voting, people could easily view all the ideas and vote on them .. unfortunately i'm clueless when it comes to online databases ..

It hasn't but it obviously will.since when has CA modified one of their games according to what their community want? Not since I can remember
I would again disagree. Is this a joke? I'VE COURSE NONE![]()
From the interview :
What the community wants(title)
Total War has no more demanding fan than those entrenched in the community, and Simpson's very proud of them for it.
"There's a constant group that push us towards more and more historical accuracy," he said, no doubt alluding to the theatrics of Shogun 2, which weren't to everybody's taste.
"We have a fight between our internal geekiness and the desire to put together a Hollywood spectacle, so those two ends of the spectrum fight against each other and we end up, hopefully, with a happy medium somewhere in between."
"They ask for better AI all the time (so they obviously know what are ideas and demands are)," he added, "and again, that's an area where we've worked very hard since Empire and have made a huge amount of progress.
"And we're going to go a lot further with that as well, until we start going well beyond what people are expecting and not just meeting expectations." (so they try to do what most of us vote or talk about, like they AI)
Modding(title)
"There's a whole group of them who want more modding tools (nice, so they know that we want a more modeable game)and for the game to be more open from that point of view," said Simpson, "and we're certainly working on that, to try and get as close as we want to what they want.

hi there as we are talking about ideas we have collected 12 ideas so far for the multiplayer competition, if someone likes to add more stuff read here

We're not the only community, and I'm pretty sure that most things we come up with will come up at the drawing boards, I'm going to be pretty optimistic and say 10%. And I agree with Rebel Jeb.

Miklagard has been our home for twenty years or more. We lent our axes, spears and swords in service of the emperor. We are loyal warriors, that's the oath we gave, to protect the emperor even to a violet grave. Our loyalty was always firm, we kept our given word. On these southern battlefields, our northern war cries roared. Battles have been fought. Many gave their lives. But all who died by axe and sword were called to hall up high.
Our time here is now at end, can't help but reminisce, a cold spring day so long ago when we set out to sea. We set out from Svitjod's shores with dreams of fame and gold and the work of weaving Norns was, for us, unknown. It's time to take farewell, we have been absolved from the sacred oath we gave, it's time to go back home. Our time here is now at end, our memories will stay of Miklagard, our southern home, until the end of days. We set out for Svitjod's shores with honour and rewards. We return back home.
what would be the need for some ca people to create accounts here if not to post and read what we discuss?... having said that i would of vote for the Over 20%, i'm very hopeful option though i cannot seem to be able to.... whatever they end up doing is going to be awesome imo....
None of our ideas are really looked at. Maybe some of our ideas might make it in, but it wasn't becuase ca saw it.
There might be a small chance that they will look around here, but that is unlikely.
Depends on how you define great, some ideas I've seen already have been awful. Then there's the conundrum of conflicting ideas as you can only implement one or the other. Still I imagine some ideas expressed around the community will be in, whether thought up by CA or actually first spotted by a team member on here.
Initially, no ideas most likely. That is, unless they find a wonderful suggestion somewhere that they managed to entirely overlook while hammering out the design document.
2% - 5% IMO.
But that's quite weird poll.![]()
I wouldn't say a plethora. There have been a few really great ones so far, with an equal or greater amount of really, really terrible ones. It's that way in almost every game forum. How many of those catch the attention of the 1-2 guys who read these forums and then leaves so great an impression that they decide to mention it to others or talk about implementing it.. on the generous side 1% of the ideas.
I'm going to say 1-2% however, I do not think they are listening in on the community. I believe that these 1-2% will be coincidences and not CA implementing in community ideas.
Like maybe CA does have the map with all of Sweden, who knows, but they might do it so that makes one of the suggestions valid.
ok, most seem to agree - not much, if at all ... sooooo what's the point of posting "what we want in Rome2" ???.. besides promoting this forum ?
This is not to say what Ca have shown so far isn't much, the opposite actually, it looks awesome .. but i was hoping this release might be the bringing back together of the community and CA.. but if they keep telling us and we don't get proper modding tools then ..
back to the bad old days ..

How can you be sure that the feature you want which will be included in the game comes from your idea ?
