Slitherine/Matrix Games and The Lordz Games Studio

I have created this forum for Slitherine/Matrix and The Lordz Games Studio after having conversations with their PR and Marketing departments. This will be a place they can post official announcements and communicate with members regarding their games.

I will also be creating a modding subforum or two, and they will occasionally help out with modding advice on their games.

In addition, when new games are released they will be giving out a few copies via some sort of lottery system. The details on that are not fully worked out yet.

Everyone, give a warm welcome to the Slitherine guys! We will be creating a badge for them so they are easy to spot.

I'm also a huge Commander Fan, that series has so much potential.

EDIT: Oh wait, I just realized, you're the guys that did Legion! That was my favorite game for ages! I put dozens of hours into it!

That is the intent. One of their guys is out for a few days for personal reasons, and I suspect the other 2 will show up during their normal work week.

I am sorry to say, but I never heard of any of you games untill now. But after a short look, I am getting excited. I will definately buy a one or two to try them out!

Edit: The number of games available is a bit overwhelming

Any suggestions for a starter like me?

Hard to give advice, do you like really extreme complicated strategy games, or more tactical wargames, science-fiction, historical or alternative strategy genre...

And what historical period, WW2, WW1, Medieval, Ancient, Napoleonic, ACW...

Are graphics very important to you, are you a counter fetish...

More of a PC gamer or a board gamer or miniature gamer...

Do you want the latest or don`t mind playing older games...

You look for something on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox, PS3, NDS, PSP...

The back catalogue at Slitherine/Matrix Games is around 250 games long, so I`me sure we will find you a game to your taste. :-)

You guys really make too many games. XD How many people have you got working there?!
Anyway, I am really excited about fields of glory and close combat. But these games also has loads of different expansions. Need to take a look at those

btw, I really appreciate the effort you put in your community which I have seen on your own forums, the features you put into your game and the fact that you are posting here.
