    Default Great Britain Question

I am playing with GB in VH/VH for the first time and i own america. I have the 1.6 version and i didn't start the conquest in europe as i was expecting that they landed in my island but it seems they only block the ports. Lol, have you ever seen the AI landing in england? Even in VH, it is getting too easy if no one attacks me in those british grass landscapes.
I have so many questions that you gonna be so tired of me!

I've never played GB on VH before, however I did encounter one time playing on normal difficulty when the Maratha Confedaracy (of all the nations!?) landed a full army and sieged Edinburgh! So all I can say is its certainly possible but fairly rare in my experience. Maybe someone else can confirm wether its more likely on higher difficulties...

    Possible, yes. Likelly, no.
I, honestly don't remember ever seeing anyone besides me land in the British isles. If you want land battles take Gibraltar and Flanders, and you will be busy for a while with armies from Spain and France.

GB is well known as the easiest faction to play in Vanilla for this very reason. In vanilla, the invasion protocols are broken, so you basically never get invaded by sea. I have heard of people using vanilla that have seen naval invasions, but I've never encountered it myself (approx 25-30 campaigns). I have been using VH/H since about my third campaign and currently use VH/VH. Granted, I get quite a few bugs in vanilla, so I tend to try to keep my campaigns as short as possible. Before I started me current kick of 100% WD clock racing victories, I used to play only to around 1760 or thereabouts.

I think personally it would be more fun if it was Empire All-Out War rather than "total" war (which involves a series of minor skirmishes)... But I guess that's what mods are for.

Dude territory isn't everything, if the french/Dutch/Spanish decide to strike at you and put you on a naval blockade(raiding trade routs, attacking ships in commercial points, blockade ports) you pretty much ran out of money, the GB is more focused on Naval power and than ground military. Once you domine the seas, steamroll all of those frenchies in both America and Europe!

LOL dude, thatīs unbelievable. I can't believe in my eyes. Anyways, the new user i get your point and you are right. Naval is everything to England but I have to say it is the easiest faction ever in empire total war. You never get invaded and you start with colonies and sixth and fifth rate ships.

Yep, it's the easiest to play. But I was trying to say If you don't do a good management it will turn into a hell of a campaign.

WBD - that's pretty funny. Did you take over GB and give it to them?

So much fun to be had by manipulating the map. One of these days I want to run a campaign where I get 136/137 regions, then give EVERYTHING to the Inuit and wait for them to wipe me out. 100% total WD victory for the Inuit nations! In Vanilla! heheheh.

I don't think any faction has England as a victory region, which may have something to do with it. Although I have heard people mention that the Maratha have invaded America in their game and that's not on their victory list either.
