By the way, how do I watch the replays from lan battles? There's no way to load it from the Multiplayer screen. I tried watching them from by going to custom battles from the launcher, but it said some of the files weren't the same and crashed when I tried to load it.

Yeah you have to do a bit of a workaround.

1) Go to singleplayer folder, make a backup of these files: "descr_mount", "export_description_unit" and "description_projectile_new".
2) Copy the files with these names that are in the multiplayer folder and overwrite the ones in the singleplayer folder.

To restore you simply delete the copied files and put back you back-ups in there.

Yep, good game. Unfortunately I did not micromanage my cavalry and right flank of my line well enough.

I'll still be available for friendly games if anyone is interested. I'm eager to see how the Hill Forts will play out in multiplayer (if it is possible to use them).

I didn't really play the SP part much, is hill fort those forts your generals can deploy?

No, they're a custom settlement that appears when you fight in a Barbarian culture large town. I'm online right now if anyone would like to play a hillfort battle.

So did the replay for this battle work when you tried to watch it on your computer? I've tried the fix you suggested and it didn't work for me on my replays or this one.

Is there a way to make replays viewable from the multiplayer menu (not the actual lobby obviously, just the same launcher option that the battles are played from)? There is no load game option there from which to access replays, and even with the overwritten files in the single player folder I keep getting errors with missing tga.'s for various units when trying to watch them with the other campaigns/custom battle menu.

I'm not trying to nag, I'm just really disappointed I can't watch/commentate on any of the replays including my own. If you're not sure what's up I'll just post in one of the help threads, but hopefully I'll get it fixed one way or another.

Edit:

I finally figured out how to get the replays to load. I just had to go to the launcher folder in the game files and open up the old launcher. This let me access the multiplayer menu with the load option available and the replays played just fine from there.

Great match Sith and Athenian! I can't wait for the rest of group play to finish so I can play my next match.
