If shogun 2 was about 37gb, and rome 2's map is going to be what?, 20x the size, with like 5 times the number of units at least with an advanced engine. How be is this game gonna be?...

my guess would be around 50-60 gigs..........good thing my comp has 220 free lol

Ish is gonna be like 50gb. Haha. Doesn't matter though, I'm building an entire new rig to play this game. Not just this game mind you, others too, like Skyrim.

I bet this happens in order to fight piracy. It's crazy to assume that a game needs all those 37 gb. I bet it could work with half the size if they wanted to.

S2 became 30 gigs after Rots and Fots. I'd imagine R2's size would be about 30 gigs initially.

That's gonna take about an entire day or more to download = = . I m guessing the wait while downloading the game will be even worse than the wait now.

They'll probably manage to squeeze it in at a good 20-25, I doubt anything exceeding 35 though.

Ya Shogun 2 without any addons is about 18 GB for me

Isn't most of that 20+ GB actually leftovers from previous games. You can dig through Shogun 2 and still find some files for Line Infantry in Empire

The amount of space a game takes up in a hard drive is not directly proportional to game size. They could use completely different mechanics and coding and have the new game take up less or a similar amount of space.

seriously, with 1.5 years of dvelopment left, you're already complaining about the single day that it will take for you to download the game! just delete all your porn, i'm sure that will free up enough space for rome2

I'm not complaining at all, I have enough hard drive space, and the way i see it the bigger the better.

So very true... I'll buy the DVDs, so I won't have to wait for the download.
