This whole thing has been disappointing imo.

2 days until the 30-day exclusivity period is through. Do you think it'll be made available at the instant the exclusivity end, or do you think there will be an extra amount of time tacked on?
At this point we have not heard thing one from Bethesda on the matter.
Who knows such things.
Dear Bethesda: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!

At this time, we do not have announced release plans for Dawnguard on other platforms. As soon as there's any new information to share, we'll let everyone know.
Word from Gstaff
Rather disappointing this is what we get after waiting the 30 days.

Sheesh. At least he could've used proper grammar.
Lol of course they aren't going to release it right away, probably will bundle it with the 1.7 patch when that goes final.
Also, dibs on late August release date (20th-31st)

It's funny. Nearly half the threads on the Dawguard forums are locked because they are rioting over this lack of news. This being my first experience with exclusivity in a videogame (besides CA's dumb preorder exclusives for certain retailers), I do have to say its left a sour taste in my mouth.
If they dare to release this in September, I'm just not going to bother with any more DLC for this game. I refuse to be slaughter for another Fallout New Vegas DLC fiasco where there was no reason to release DLC that came out in December for xbox in February. This just goes to show that even though they made lots of money and profit, there's always more to be had. What happened to when games were art? It seems as though only a handful of companies do that anymore. If it wasn't for people like Valve and CD Projeckt, we would be in another gaming crash by now. Holding back content for no reason is exactly the same as treating us like second rate citizens.
Additionally, people have been saying that Dawnguard will be better because when it will be released for other platforms, "bugs" will be fixed. Well, I asked some Xbox users and they even said that it was playable and not heavily bug ridden. The 1.7 patch apparently only fixes kinect issues in the beta notes, so it might be safe to say bethesda is saying that Dawnguard has a low amount of bugs and as a result, will not need major patching.
If so, I won't even bother with Bethesda anymore after this since they seem to be going down the dark path of caring more about money than their customers.
To those PS3 players out there, I hope you guys will get Dawnguard for free. Save issues, lag, launch issues, no voice support. You guys really have it bad in every aspect of this game. This is also referring to patch 1.6 for Skyrim. It was released in MAY for PC. Now its almost August. AUGUST. I know they said that it would come for PS3 in the 1.7 patch, but really? There is absolutely no reason to hold it back that long.
The worst part of this is there is absolutely no way to stop this ridiculous business practice.
1) We don't buy Dawnguard. --That would only make Bethesda's publishers think that the Xbox is the most profitable and that it is a good idea to have exclusives.
2) We buy dawnguard --- Poop, They will think we don't care being treated as inferior second rate trash just because of our hardware choice according to somein a suit.
Even worse, they never even said that "DAWNGUARD will be eventually released on all platforms. Heck, for all we know that very and I mean VERY smart Xbox market manager for microsoft pretty much made the DLC exclusive for the xbox. (And some advice to you Micro$oft, get that xbox market guy for your windows OS, I hate those mac guys that think macs are better just because of the price).

To lighten the mood here is Lord Harkon calling some blood banks.
that was awesome
I remember when CA were good Devs caring to give their customers quality and bought their games, straight away from Shogun
I remember when Bethesda were good Devs caring to give their customers quality and bought their games, straight away from Morrowind.
Now it all goes down hill, much of it from when they adopted Steam.
Bethesda have gone down the sad road of CA... treating the longtime loyal PC users as idiots. Ignoring our requests for better because they are simply blinded by greed now.
A plea to CA: Please give us NON-STEAM OPTIONS such as with GOG.COM`s Alan Wake and Witcher 2, etc. Even allow a system such that Mount and Blade Uses. Many of us will pay extra for a Steam-free version of RTW2.
The use of STEAM-ONLY by CA is ethically wrong because:
1. It does not need to be forced. It could be optional as other games have proven.
2. It discriminates between internet users and non-users or those who simply do not want it.
3. The `advantages` are only advantages in a very small and superficial manner. They do not counter the disadvantages.
4. It suits the company way more than the user. We are simply told it`s better for us
Finally,I shall not give CA|SEGA my money for RTW2 while it forces Steam on me. They have given us no good reason why it must be so. Basically they don`t care.
A Steam Option would benefit ALL. Don`t fight us, JOIN us.
Games don`t need forced Steam
