Greatest movies about Rome! POST HERE
hey everybody! im back after awhile (not many have noticed) Recently in my excitement about Rome 2 iv been watching as many movies about Rome as i can to stir up the mood. iv only seen 3, Centurion, The Eagle and Gladiator please help me out with finding others!
(also im happy that rome 2 is coming out next year as i have time to save up thumbs up CA for the good idea of warning us early!)

Sadly only a few movies about rome exist, And most of them are Full-of-BS Anti-rome. I Think you watched about all Movies about rome that worth watching (The eagle and centurion) and they'r both boring. When is the time will someone make a movie about rome that is similar to Alexander or The last samurai?
back to recommendations. I'd suggest The last Legion. a pile of junk but atleast its about rome too

Gladiator is one of the best movies ever made in my opinion. HBO's Rome isn't bad either.
We the willing, led by the unknowing are doing the impossible for the ungrateful, we have done so much for so long with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Gladiator, Spartacus. Even one kind of King Arthur was about Roman soldiers in Brittania. It was quite a good film though.

BBC`s Rome is the best thing to see.
The classic movies (50s-60s) about Rome have great performances, but are full of historical nonsense. The most recent movies (Gladiator, centurion) are even worse, having as main focus appeal to the teen crowd.

I watched Caligula and sufficed to say that I am now horrified and scared.
The part of Tiberius' palace is absolutely scarring on the eyes and memory because you can't

Fall of the Roman Empire. Old movie, but fairly accurate.
