I wanted to have a discussion on the time period of the game, because this is something that always gets me thinking. From what I've gathered from reading the interviews, articles and the like, it's going to be focused on the rise of Julius Caesar and the culmination of the Roman Republic turning into the Roman Empire. Now, I love this time period and it's quite possibly my favorite but what about the earlier periods? With the Punic Wars and the vast early stages of Rome that we've all come to cherish in mods like EB and RS2? Unless I'm misinformed, do you think we'll be missing out on the early Roman Republic?

And now the flip side, how deep does the campaign go? Will it go until the mid stages of the Roman Empire or will it continue until the split of the Roman Empire into East and West?
