Smoke and Blood

I am sorry and I know this has been brought up time and time again but i want to disable the Smoke and Blood mod that is within this mod. I love 3.4 and have experienced really no crashes or glitches but the lag with this smoke from muskets and cannons is really annoying. I have the Pack file manager so is it possible for me to go into the Pack files and remove the smoke mod from within?

Either turn down the particle effects graphic settings from ETW or delete the table particle_effects in bg_db.pack.

i have deleted the particle_effects in bg_db.pack. but now whenever a unit or cannon fires there is brown smoke and with cannons there are light balls that lag my PC instead of Cannon balls

Guess they are still stored in you appdate cache then.
Delete the cache folder and try again.

Where is the appdate cache? where is the cache folder?

Just delete this folder: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire

link to the smoke mod ? As much as possible smoke for ships ...
