Box, the game will likely be too big to download. Plus if it needs to be re-installed I'm not re-downloading it again.

I don't have 5 hours to install the game or another few hours to install updates... how will I get to play the friggin game!

    I hate Steam!

Nothing I have on it works without problems!

Nothing I have that isn't on it has problems, so it is not my sysytem!

Box, simply because I like having something to hold on to for games I'll really enjoy.

I still have my Rome: Total War and BI boxes sitting on my shelf, for example.

Box, if I can. Many of my games these days are digital, but TW games are box-worthy. Speaking of which, please give us a decent manual, like the one that came with the first Rome game.

Plus, getting a boxed copy is usually cheaper if bought from somewhere like play.com.

Regardless of how you buy it, I imagine it'll be tied to Steam.

^ not if you buy from a key shop. Probably steam for me. I don't have an optical drive anymore, I find that outdated. Loud, installations take forever, the disc(s) should not become scratched/lost...I can easily preload the game, back it up and don't have to download it ever again. A box is nice to look at, yes, but I don't feel the need to impress someone with it. My apartment is cluttered enough as it is and I have too much stuff I never use/look at.

I love Steam and I have purchased the last few Total War games via DL from them, but I want a box for Rome 2.

Ever heard of this ground-breaking invention called a 'shelf'? They're all the rage...

Lol. I have one and I have games there. But I never look at them and I personally find it inconvenient to have them just sitting there, collecting dust. That's all. Others may be collectors, I myself value the game itself more than the box.

Definetely Box Version. I'm just old fashioned and want to have something real like a box and a cd instead of just something virtual, plus downloading it for hours.
And i just like it to have a beautiful/cool looking box or cover on my shelf.

Box. I want a physical copy of a game I buy. I want to be able to hold the case and manual. AND I WANT A TECH TREE DANG IT! Plus a map, and a list of units. I would be willing to be a little extra for these things.
