The trailer was cool as publicity, but I still feel it's kinda preferable for a game to be a trait of the actual game running with the graphics.

Still I can understand Rome II it's on its early stages of developtment, maybe they show another trailer later.

They will probably make a proper epic CGI movie like they did with the last 3 games.
And CGI is usally made by other companies than the devs.
Give it half a year and i am sure we get some preview movies and screens

Yeah! and what the has this got to do with a game recreating the Roman Empire, except someones idea at CA to base it on that American TV Rubbish "Spartacus". When I saw that trailer I thought it was something contrived using footage from one of those shoddy TV shows. Now I see it's CA's idea for a game trailer, very uninspiring and in very poor taste.

Jap, a bit earlier in this thread someone already provided a quote that these are screenshots. It was not said though that they are NOT photo-shopped too so I believe they are still edited, may be edited heavily even.
