I'm not sure about the campain map.
Look at greece screenshot. You have Sparta and you see Athene beyond. It's seems you can take Sparta with athene in 1 turn. If it's the case, it's sucks a lot.
I wonder to know how many factions will be destroyed in the first 10 turns...
So...the great Ptolemaic Kingdom...
...starts the game with only two provinces...
I hope that all provinces around Egypt are vassals of the Ptolemaics.
Actually the campaign that the picture that Boicote posted is in 271 BC, not 47 BC.
I think that the orange faction that holds Cyprus* and a small bit of asia minor is a vassal of the ptolemies.
Edit: Mixed Cyrene and Cyprus, but whatever faction that also holds Cyrene (to the west of Alexandira) should also be a vassal.

One thing that iam not happy about is that those legionaries are not caesars era legionaries, they are equipped in the imperial manner
MACEDONIA ETERNAL GREEK KINGDOM

The maps looks great actually. Think city's have never been showed better.
However, it does seam the cities are way to large for the map (talking some 150%). Seemingly (even though Jack said this is not the case) this has the effect that Greece cannot/does not have all the important and expected cities (namely Corinth and Thebes), because in that case from Athens to Sparta, there would 4 citys touching each other...
I love everything I have seen about Rome II thusfar, but think 'they' made an error in the city sizing, and wanting 'every region about as much cities and land' where Italy and Greece could have had more just the same (well for the better actually)
So, if i understand, the dull "regions" we see in minimap are region occuped by ennemies. (because they are not full blue)
This seems you have to take control of regions, take "minor" cities but without siege battles. -> How do you take control of a region???
The 2 provinces capitals are Alexandrie and Petra. Those are siege battles
Interesting note dude
PS: And the other city we saw in front of the Nil seems to be "Myos Hormos". (a city without walls)

If you look really close, you can get a sense of how a battle will look and the HUD

In this picture you can see that Jerusalem, Myos Hormos and Diospolis belong to Egypt. However, in the campaign map, those regions are not marked with the Egyptian blue color…
