Ok. Minoans and Mycenaeans had pikemen

Were they Alexander the Great Sarissa pikemen? No

But given that they were spearmen, with large shields and deployed long spears in shieldwall formations, we decided the vanilla pikemen designation and formation was the closest approximation of that reality.

Like every element of our mod, we strive for maximum historical accuracy within the bounds of what is feasible and possible.

Also, its not that I didnt understand it, your comment just came off initially as somewhat rude, so I wanted to make sure I wasnt misunderstanding it.

I didn't pretend to sound rude, but fantasy pisses me off and that's what I wanted express. Your project is a good oportunity to have a mod completely out of the timeframe of vanila and dlcs. They don't fight in a close formation. Age of Bronze is known as the age of "heroes" were the soldier looks for his own glory just by himself.

Now tell me, these are Minoans and Mycenaeans soldiers, wich one of these guys have a long spear such as a pike. Whatever single spear from vanila would fit waaaay better with your target.

A completely understandable sentiment. I don't want to bog this thread down with a historical debate, it's not what the thread is for, but I will construct a response to your points and pm it to you, as well as linking a copy in this comment. All I ask is that you redirect any further comments/points to the AoB forums where a debate like this is more appropriate. Feel free to construct a new forum thread just for the purpose of the discussion.
