What Faction Will You First Try?

Since there's roughly a week or so until release, I thought I could get some pre-release chat going so we can bear the short wait better! Tell us what faction you'll first choose, and what your tactical moves will be to secure your nation as a dominant Baltic force!

(can't see Norðvegr there, maybe they replace Vestfold now but I won't assume anything)

Personally I'll most likely play as Vendland or the Obotrites and either invade the Franks or ally with them (depends on the neighboring faction's moves).

After creating Hålogaland it made sense to change the name Nordvegr to Vestfold since they both are "Norwegian" factions.
And both factions will have emerging historical characters who were kings in their time.

Oh, and I will play Vestfold, gather a huge band of Ulfhednar and ravage the Danes!

Vestfold is a faction based in Vestfold (), where the future king of Norway, Harald Fairhair, hailed from. Hålogaland where many a famous Viking came from

I, by the way, will most likely play Vestfold, Sweden or the Rus' - it will be interesting to see the warriors I've made be slaughtered by the Norsemen.
