    Default Project Empire Enhanced v1.2 (AI Mod & more)



    Project ETW Enhanced is a mod aiming to make Empire Total War a more interesting and more challenging experience.

    This project will be greatly affected by you - the community - in the future.




    Project ETW Enhanced provides different changes to improve gameplay.
    The goal of the project is to enhance as much as possible without making the whole thing complicated.
    This list represanting the current state of the mod, some aspects are viewed in detail in the sections Battles and Campaigns.

    Some other battle tweaks
    New Army marching ranges

    Enhanced Blood and Smoke

    More detailed and bigger Flags
    Settlement Forts disabled
    More detailed campaign textures
    Better Battle Radar
    Real Map mod
    Performance optimized

    Naval enhanced
    (combat, textures and more)
    Bayonetts corrected
    CA Intromovies removed

    New in V1.2
    Naval recruitment fixed
    Loading screens added
    Battle performance greatly increased

    The Campaign AI strengh is more related to your chosen difficulty.
    Slightly in normal and raising in higher settings you will encounter more enemy armies then before.
    Very hard setting is still playable, but overall more challenging.
    The AI is forced to develop the most important things first and recruit more as before.
    This changes are only done to land units, this way we can keep the seas as before, which was fine in my opinion.

    A lot of coded changes lead to an overall better behaviour of the battle AI, more realistic situations and a more reasonable more system.
    With the increased firing ranges and changed kill ratios depending on firing range battles gives you more options for field tactics.
    The new firing animations, blood and smoke, and the different sounds added ensure a better immersion.

    Installation is quite easy.

    1. Unzip the downloaded mod folder.

    2. Copy the unzipped folder into your "empire total war\data" folder.
    (Default destination 64bit Systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data
    Default destination 32bit Systems: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data)

    You can start my mod one two different ways.

    1. To start simple doubleklick on the file "enhanced_load.bat" inside of the Enhanced folder.
    It will put the mod file into the correct directory, create a userscript and start empire.
    (After closing you can easy restore ETW to vanilla with a simple doubleklick on enhanced_unload.bat).
    2. Copy the enhanced.pack into "empire total war/data", after that copy the userscript
    or add the needed line to your existing one. now you can start Empire.


    Some parts of the mode are based on contributions of other modders.
    I´m glad to say thank you to all of them.

    As i stated at the beginning you can influence the content of future versions.
    Suggestions are very welcome, when they can be realized and have enough supporters - it will be in soon!

    Beside your suggestions here is what i´ve planned for the next version:


    Reworked menues and loading screens.

    New background music tracks.
    Improved performance.
    Recruitment depending on population.
    Reworked tech system.

    Thanks, naval aspect is mostly untouched. A rework of it could be a good idea.

    Ok I am downloading the files now and I will start the adaptation work tomorrow, it will be finished depending on the complexity of this work.

    Nice.

    I personally did an overhaul of naval combat a year ago or so, and I still use it.

    Makes the game more fun in my opinion. You could have them if you'd like.

    Shokh,How much performance will give this mod?If it gives so much,I wish it were included in ACW 3.5

    It´s not that it will increase the performance compared to vanilla. But even it will handle a part of the more needed power to manage what this mod adds.
    All my mods benefit of each other because often i do similar changes to all when i find something interesting.

    Sorry but why don't work on optimization more?I think this collects more fan.But of course,you know.And I need optimization,what do you suggest?Is Darth mod good enough or should I find Empire Total Optimized from somewhere?

    First of all congrats for the new mod
    Second a couple of thing that they should be fixed.
    -It's impossible to recruit ships, i just put them in the queue but they are not builded.
    -From the start the campaign all units in battle have already the shocker ballonet and fire by rank or platoon.
    and just a suggestion:
    can you remove the platoon fire please.

    Can you maybe upload the version of the mod that you have somewhere so I can see if it's something I ed up or if it's something in the release I downloaded?
