Rygjaland is a small, independant kingdom with magnificent fjords and coastal control in its vicinity. Few are those who dare to travel in these waters without the concent of the Konungr of Rygjalandi. With their strong strategical position, Rygjalandi have a good possibility for trade or conquest. Their elite unit Naudgastir are trained in the art of war in many a battle fought on foreign soil in the service of foreign kings for nothing else than plunder what the traders have reported of foreign wealth. One of the earlier areas to convert to christianity, Rygjalandi was open for foreign influence and has a good relationship with the Danes

Naudgastir
The Naudgastir are an elite group of warriors who have previously employing their services abroad. Participating in wars in Frankia or the English Isles, these warriors have seen all the horrors of war, survived and thrived. Often used as a shock troop sent to attack the rear of the enemy lines where the resistance is weakest, to surprise and demoralize and cause an enemy rout. Even if the plan failed they would still be powerful enough to fight their way out of any situation. With pay and loot aquired these men have the finest of weapons and armor making them the worst enemy imaginable
