Hi there, since i was fiddling around with soundfiles lately, I wondered if anyone knows how to alter the sound of distant explosions.
Like Shogun 2 the distant explosions are quite bassy explosions when u hear them from a distance. Dont know if this is moddable to be implemented in ETW game mechanics, but the cannons from shogun 2 sound a lot better and would suit the timeframe of the ACW mod perfectly.
Is anyone there who knows more about the mechanics than I do to help me out?
Or even knows what i mean?

1:45 is the sound i mean.

    also 1:58 lots of them

Oh well...just found out that this task would take an incredible amount of time and knowledge.
The build up of the files is totally different in shogun 2 and empire. Shogun has different ranges for soundfiles from near, mid to far. Empire does not have these. Might be possible though for one who knows programming and such. But not for me

Hell yeah, I love that sound!
But as you said, we don't have that much sound options in ETW/NTW.
Would be so good, to have such stuff in our mod, yes

Lets hope they learned something of that and if they ever do a proper game of the civil war (similar to napoleon maybe) they implement this and 2 flagbearers per regiment.
