free weekend problem

Hi i downloaded the free weekend version of napoleon Total war off of steam this weekend and had some troublemwhen actualy trying to play it. I played the campaign screen fine no bug glitches of any kind there however when i went into a battle my game crashes. I ran The can I run it program that i found earlier on this site and it said that the game should run not at recomended setting but itl run. I also played the demo of napoleons attack on a city i dont remember the name of the battle and it ran fine. so i dont see what the problem is and any help would be greatly appreciated

Try updating the motherboard drivers at www.intel.com.
Activate your copy of Win7 if not done so.
Run Windows Update manually and install all software options until it says there are no more starting with Service Pack 1.You have almost two years of catching up.

It should do batlles but on low settings and small units.

Odds are you need to run Windows Update like I posted.

After it's all caught up, run disk cleanup to get out the worst of the garbage and do a deep, optimized defrag. It sounds like you're overdue for all three.
