    Icon5 Grander Map?

My biggest complaint about Shogun 2 (I was a big Empire fan) was how small the campaign map was. Victory just doesn't feel as meaningful, the game not as grand. I long for the great game.

I'm sure I'm showing my ignorance here - I can't seem to find any mods that change the campaign map and add regions, either by increasing territory or "zooming in." Will this ever happen? Are there any I'm missing?

Since Empire the campaign maps' editability have dropped (to like zero) so that's the main problem, hopefully CA will open that up at least to some realistic extend going foward.
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

The problem, imo, is Shogun is smaller, centered on Japan, an island. Even with dozens of factions and cities it still feels small. If perhaps they added in Korea and parts of China it would feel larger but the map and gameplay would change. Hopefully though CA adds over 30-40 factions in their next game in Europe. With the warscape engine, unlimited factions, rebellions/civil wars etc the possibilities in Europe are endless. I would love to see a MIII. As long as they do the regions right.

Just make sure the campaign map has plenty of regions to conquer instead of large regions representing states. Avoid ETW regions at all costs.

I really hope the people asking for both a more global map and finer split regions aren't the ones that were complaining about long end-of-turn times with ETW or you'll be contradicting yourself.
It should be pretty obvious that the time to calculate the AI factions' moves increases more than linearly in proportion to the amount of provinces held by them.

Maybe you should remind yourselves that Empire's EOT times are very close to being unbearable during mid game (ie. before half the world has been captured by the player).
    Tools: MMS 1.3 - PFM 2.4.1 - EditSF 1.0.7

Minor TW Tools: Savegame Autobackup, RandomSeedChanger, Replay Browser, Preference Editor
My mods: Extended Camera - No Handicap on Normal - Add occupation resistance to AI - FotS Defenses Rebalance
If you're artistically inclined, I could do with some icons for my mods and tools....

Hopefully I'll get around to posting vids in my YouTube channel at one time.

You can have a map with over 1000 regions, but people are still gonna complain about how Europe isnt in it.

Thats a good point but I was really only asking for France and Spain to be split up into proper regions instead of one gigantic one.

I agree with Mathias about Korea and China as an expansion, but imo both countries should be "unlockable" for invasion only after Japan as been united (not to have the AI of a small region of Japan invading Korea alone too early in the game, or the contrary, being invaded by China too early in the game) and also not to too much the very essence of the original game (uniting Japan under your banner, not uniting asia). Plus adding those countries would be more historically accurate since Toyotomi Hideyoshi did, in 1581, attack Korea.
