    Default WotN Release: Even more Unused units

    After some time off, changes in the team and it's management, I have decided to donate my 14 old units for the viking factions to the community as absinthia have made the entire viking roster from scratch and his units are awesome.

    My work was based on the generous MADTAO's units from Baltic: Total War
    In addition some minor work has been used from 1066 Mod.
    And of course the rest of the WotN team were a part of the creation process with nice feedback as well as some parts of the model and skins.

    If you wish to use them in your own mod, permission is not required but credit must be given to the WotN team as well as Baltic: Total War team. The units can be renamed to your liking. If you wish to edit the units to your liking permission must be granted first.
    Permission can be asked either in this thread or by PM to Úlfhéðinn.

    So HERE are the files needed. They need to be unzipped to M2TW/mods/yourmod/Data folder.

    Things to watch out for:
    • Hirdmenn is a general unit so for it to be in effect the export_descr_units.txt Hirdmenn entry needs to be above all other general units for those factions.
    • If you don't want Hirdmenn to be a General unit you will need to put it in the export_descr_buildings.txt file and make sure you remove the general_unit trait in the export_descr_units.txt file (marked).
    • The unit button for Langbogmenn is missing.
    • Langbogmenn is using banzai's bowstring and arrow animation so if you do not have it downloaded it's animation (marked) needs to be changed to: 16 MTW2_Fast_Bowman

    Ohhhh, you definately improved on the old files quite a bit, nice... maybe you should consider using some of the Ruschi parts as well. for example the fur coat of the Polotsk Druzhina they use would be very suitable for the Hirdsmenn unit

    I'm sure it's a great idea, however I do not play with these units anymore, it's actually 3 years since I made them and I'm not intending to pick them back up since they are completely obsolete.

    lol thats pretty epic, maybe you can share you different layers of textures too? it would save me a lot of time in 2D trying to find good shield overlay textures or cutting out some sections so that i can place things under them
    for example like cutting out the belts and some chain mail so i can put cloth over it so it seems the guy has chain mail below his tunic...

    anyways cant wait for you guys to release, lots of goodies in the unused units, cant imagine what you got in-stored for yourselves
