Does it also crash when you start a new campaign or only when trying to load something?
Does it also crash when you start a new campaign or only when trying to load something?
Only when I load it.
IŽll check this after some sleep mate.
Check your script if you have any mod commands forgotten. ACW keeps a backup of your original script and restores it every time you select Vanilla Ready. If you do not know how to get your script use this tool (do not use the ACW launcher's menu for that).
Thanks guys.
First off, I love you guys for making this game. You are a Civil War nerd's best friend ever. Wonderful work, we appreciate this more than you could ever know.
Bug issue i had resolved:
I was having the crashing issue at startup, when Iever I tried to laucnh a battle it would dump me back to start screen. When I started steam first, then launched ACW 3.0, it worked fine.
THANK YOU!

What is your OS Edition? You said that the number you got using my utility was 3, that means that you have Home Premium Edition which is included in database and you should not have this problem. Anyway tell me again exactly the OS and the Edition and repeat the number you get. If necessary I'll send you a special edition just for you!

Hello!
I got a weird bug/problem.
As already mentioned above I get the crashes aswell whenever the AI attacks me and I end the turn it crashes at the end. It only seems to happen WHEN the AI attacks.
Other than that I just crashed once randomly ending december 1861. Now to the weird thing I got. I'm usualy playing every total war on highest settings (which works fine without a lag, even darthmod for shogun with the insane unit sizes lol) so the first time I tried to play your great mod () on highest aswell and it seemed to work fine, UNLESS however I zoom closer to any kind of line infantry, then suddenly it starts lagging so badly and if the units are very close to each other it nearly freezes for 1-2seconds. After that I have put down my settings to medium/high which works perfect for all Confederate units but most/all of the Union soldiers still cause lag whenever I zoom in. It works fine with cavalry and arty on both sites. That seems quite strange to me...because I strongly doubt its my PC.
Maybe you guys know something which might cause it.
Already thanks in advance for an responses!![]()
OK. I do not know why it does not work for you but we have to move over. Download attached and extract it in your ...\empire total war\ACW replacing the existing files. Though I know that you have applied the fix I add the next warning for others who might use it...
WARNING: You have to have applied first the hotfix 3.0.1.
CTD(s) are not normal. The lag is caused by the new detailed unit models and there is already a development to fix.
Oh bloody!!
Still CTD...
Despite that there's a good new;
I see no more that Error message

Cavalry is acting up, look at this replay:

One cav unit runs around my line and just stand there.
In my next game two cav units is parading in front of my line:

There is also no friendly fire on cavalry and it looks like there is no charge bonus cav vs cav.

Did you applied the fix correctly (in blue)? If not uninstall mod and install it. Then apply fix and last your personal fix.
Instructions: Start ACW, close it and select Vanilla Ready. Download the attached file and decompress it in your ...\empire total war folder and let it overwrite the existing files. You will need 7zip utility (free, excellent, google for it).
