    Default gfx graphics hax.

    Hi, in the vanilla version of ETW if the comp for some reason did not allow you to turn up your settings you could trick it into thinking you graphics card had more memory by going into C/ Usuers/ your name/app data/ roaming/ Creative Assembly/ Empitre total war/ Scripct/ and perefernces. by adding a whole bunch of random numbers to the gfx video memory part of the script the game would allow you to acsess higher settings, but it seems to not work whenver I try to use this mod, Is there a way I can fix this be able to turn up the settings?
    I check into small hotel a few kilometers from Kiev. It is late. I am tired. I tell woman at desk I want a room. She tells me room number and give key. "But one more thing comrade; there is one room without number and always lock. Don't even peek in there." I take key and go to room to sleep. Night comes and I hear trickling of water. It comes from the room across. I cannot sleep so I open door. It is coming from room with no number. I pound on door. No response. I look in keyhole. I see nothing except red. Water still trickling. I go down to front desk to complain. "By the way who is in that room?" She look at me and begin to tell story. There was woman in there. Murdered by her husband. Skin all white, except her eyes, which were red. I tell her I don't give a . Stop the water trickling or give me refund. She gave me 100 ruble credit and free breakfast. Such is life in Moscow

    it seems that no one has tried something similar to what you do. I also don't know how advisable is to "cheat" your graphics card to allow you playing...

    I will keep this open for a while...

    Does this ACW mod work with DMUC 7.0. Or do I need a clean install of ETW? And are there any music packs, and blood and smoke mods seperate, or is all of this added to the .exe file?

    Are there any SHIPS? Or SPIES?

    I try to pick up your questions.

    The unit size is balanced for medium, but large will also fit.

    ACW will work with DMUC but ensure that there is no unit_compatible_file left in your data folder when closing DMUC. But mods are modfoldered which is done to co-exist.

    Ships and Spies are deactivated for now, they will be back in 3.5

    Hello, I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread or not, but I was wondering if in 3.5 there would be a US cavalry unit that looks like the one in the John Ford movie "The Horse soldiers" ?

    We have not judged yet which units we will add into 3.5. So i canīt say a lot about this. But there will be an option for users to suggest them in the near future.

    Hi, I hope I'm asking this in the right thread, and I've looked around on the search option for an answer to this, but I'm not finding anything. I played the latest version of the mod, and then wanted to go back and play regular old Empire vanilla, but after uninstalling Blue and Grey, Empire continues to crash immediately with the phrase: Empire Total War has stopped working. I cleaned out all of the old Steam files, deleted Empire, removed all the Blue and Grey files, and installed a clean Steam and Empire download, and it's still not working. I'm guessing this mod is the reason it did this, because I didn't have anything else downloaded on Steam. Have you all seen this issue before? Or do you all have any tips to get vanilla Empire working again? Thanks

    To do a full ETW uninstall you have to delete by hand an important folder after the regular uninstall.

    "C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire"

    Then all should be fine.

    Is it possible to have battles won and lost or Total killed for both sides. I just thought it would be neat.

    maybe the count of won/lost battles is shown somewhere in your faction screen. where you have policies, ministers etc. if it is not, then I don,t know where and if it even shows. you could make an external count of battles and casualties (by usin Microsoft Excel or Open Office Calc) but that would require alt+tab after every battle to make those changes.

    I know steam counts the total amount of men killed (yours and enemies), but it takes in consideration all of the mods and vanilla. so it is not relevant for ACW only.

    Are there no sieges? Are town battles decided just by field battles? I love this game with the physics but Id love for there to be sieges and navel battles

    NTW and ETW siege mechanics and fortifications had next to nothing in common with reality, only the field works are sort of OK. Maybe the wooden fort could be reworked into something semi usable but whether the AI can handle the changes is a question mark.
    As for naval battles no new models can be imported in the game, which limits options.

    Hi,

    Is it possible to combine the larger deployment zones mod with ACW? I want to play with huge unit size, but the batteries barely fit in the regular deployment size. And yes, I know the mod is balanced for medium/large size.
