i cant wait for this mod to release! it looks amazing!![]()
Hey sorry for the late reply!
Aha that's good then! Yes, I really do encourage you to make Dingwall/Tingvall the region capital. It was and still is of much more importance than Dornoch. Also, Dornoch is not in Ross-Shire, but in Sutherland.
If Dingwall is not what you're looking for then perhaps Kiltearn (Gaelic; Cille Tigerna) today which is part of the village of Evanton. Kiltearn was one of the very first Pictich parishes ever established - soon after King Bridui's convertion by Saint Columba.
Ohh dont worry this sort of stuff wont slow us down
Its like this, we have many coders and mappers, but only one moddeler, so while the mod consistently gets brilliant units, you have to trade of speed for that. So currently moddeling is the limiting factor if you understand? So were able to do quite a bit while it moves forward![]()
The Orcs of Gundabad Erin go Bragh FROGS
When I came back to Dublin I was court marshaled in my absence and sentenced to death in my absence, so I said they could shoot me in my absence"

"When I told the people of Northern Ireland that I was an atheist, a woman in the audience stood up and said, 'Yes, but is it the God of the Catholics or the God of the Protestants in whom you don't believe?"
- Quentin Crisp
There is one weapon that the British cannot take away from us: we can ignore them.
- Michael Collins
They have nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that can break the spirit of one Irishman who doesn't want to be broken.

Just a thought, looking at the map, I think previous mods and certainly vanilla , did not allow that much of the British Isles, had alot more forest than it does now.
Now looking at Wales, whenever the English invaded they usually followed the coast, as travelling inland resulted in ambushes. The English in the end took to cutting down the trees on roads to reduce the chance of attack.
How easy is it to traverse areas such as Snowdonia and Cumbria?
What inhibits movement in these areas?

This is a very good point, finding the blend of historically accurate heights versus opening up the map to more movement is paramount in making good campaigns. In my mod this is exactly what I've done, I have used a good mix that allows better troop movement and better decision making by the AI.I think previous mods and certainly vanilla , did not allow that much of the British Isles, had alot more forest than it does now.
Plus I have also changed the campaign textures of the highlands as the textures of vanilla are incorrect for the era. It's good to see the team changing these too, as there should be more green textures and less yellow and browns. Britain at this time was at least still 1/3 woodland .
Good job Son of Peverel, let me know if I can help further.
