Did you read the installation instructions?
Also, check the Technical Help forum. There are lots of threads already with help on getting Steam version to work.1. Install all parts of the mod as instructed above.
2. Open "Steam/Steamapps/Common/Medieval II Total War/mods". There you
will find all your installed Kingdoms campaigns as well as the
"Third_Age_3" modfolder.
3. Edit the name of one of the Kingdoms folders (americas, britannia,
crusades, teutonic), preferably your least favorite campaign. The new
name doesn't have to be anything specific.
4. Change the name of the "Third_Age_3" folder to the former name of the
Kingdoms folder you just edited. For example, if you edited the
"americas" folder, the "Third_Age_3" folder should be named "americas".
5. Select the appropriate campaign from the steam menu. If you renamed
the "Third_Age_3" folder to "americas", select the americas campaign. If you
named it "crusades", select the crusades campaign and so on.
6. Steam will now launch the mod.
If you have installed 3.0 or 3.1 and renamed your folders before you have installed the 3.2 Patch:
- If you have already renamed the "Third_Age_3" folder to one of your 'Kingdoms' campaigns (for example to "americas") install the patch normally.
- After the installation, move the files of the newly created "Third_Age_3" folder to the renamed folder manually.
(For example cut the content of the "text" folder from the newly created "Third_Age_3" folder and paste it into the "text" folder of your "americas" folder.)
Note : The "models_missile" folder has to be copied to the normal ".../Medieval II Total War/data" folder!
- The "Third_Age" folder can now be deleted.
Alternatively you can use the Kingdoms Launcher App.
You are British or Canadian? That means you should be able to read English. Just read all of the installation instructions and don't use this thread for your problem.
If, after reading the instructions and installing the game, you still have problems go to the technical help forum as StealthFox said.
If I install these two last patches, will they fix BUGS in ongoing campaigns, such as the dwarf axethrower bug?
American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
Let Syria be finally in peace.
A video of false chemical attack in Douma, Syria, which led to Western illegal attacks.
I've already read that and it didn't answer my question. Changes and fixing bugs might be two very different things. I would not expect changes to affect ongoing campaigns(as the post says) but it might be different with bugs, bug fixes which don't alter anything other than a mechanic that happens once in a while. I can see many reasons why this could be.
Anyone got an idea?
I'm not sure what aspects of patch 3.2 are save game compatible, but if I remember correctly, the list for 3.1 changes are save game compatible, except for those marked with a red asterix, those are not save game compatible. You can still play your old saves, those changes just won't be there until you start a new campaign.

Hello all,
I tried installing the patch. The files appear to have been extracted to Third_Age3 rather than the third age folder. Can I copy the files into the original folder?
Edit: Whoops. Looks like I was playing 2.1 after all...
However, do I NEED to install the 3.1 patch? The changelog implied that the fixes from 3.1 were included.

Technically you should only need 3.2. But some have reported that they needed to install 3.1 first for some reason.
Pretty certain you need 3.1 before you install 3.2
According to DaVinci here, patch 3.2 contains all of the same files as 3.1. So, 3.2 must contain the changes made by 3.1, as 3.2 files effectively overwrite all files that 3.1 changes. It's also noted, as Badger-dude pointed out, that the changelog of 3.2 shows the same changes as 3.1.
Admittedly, it's a bit confusing as the install directions say to install 3.1 first, and as I said for some reason people have reported that installing 3.1 before 3.2 fixed some issues, but then again, we can't rule out that they simply didn't have it installed properly the first time and the actual process of uninstalling and reinstalling was the real fix.Originally Posted by King Kong

Sauron will return sometime after turn 40.
amazing mod /+rep
Do I need to install the 3.1 patch before installing the 3.2? (it says the 3.1 fixes are included, so I am assuming no, but just want to be sure)
