For the floating barrels, try clicking on them and moving them around, that might snap them to the ground.
If the edges are two harsh and showing pixelation, try using the smooth brush.

MMh ok thanks for the tip.

I thought I'd find some kind of real japanese road textures but it looks like there are none. Too bad for the Sega bus...

I'm very impressed with everyone's efforts and creativity! I've only had a moment or two to tinker with TEd, but I'm looking forward to creating my owm map.

Keep up the good work everyone, and thanks for sharing!
Your reality sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm happy to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever!

    Nice one! Very ominous looking.

If it's possible to input the ted maps into the campaign somehow, then from what I'm seeing here it could turn out to be very interesting.

Also there is no earthworks or barbwire, or chevaux de frise in the items you can use but there are walls, hay stacks that look somewhat like chevaux de frise and bamboo walls.
That`s nice looking already. Have a Rep. A few months and we`ll see stuff that will have CA regretting ever releasing the tools. just kidding, don`t worry CA. It`s ok, don`t take away the tool- please NO!

Just need to see if these things can be part of a SP offline Campaign working with the BAI. I reckon maximum 6 months will show us if this can be done.

I apologize if I offended someone, but this is what I think.
Oh we're sorry these maps don't match up to the quality maps you've released.

You've set the bar so high.

Here is my first map, "Date's Sanctuary" :

A lot of forests and reliefs with multiple ways to climb them. An excellent map for cavalry flankings and ambushes.

You can download it here :

I recommand it for Shogun 2 vanilla and perhaps mixed avatar but not for Fots vs Fots.

Infortunately, I have not succeeded to put a custom picture of the map for the map list even though I followed the instructions (tga file, 512*256). If someone did it successfully, I'd be glad to know how.

I tried a battle on the star fort but I couldn't place the units on the walls and it was classified as a land battle then it crashed when I clicked the startbattle button. So how to I make it a siege map, does anyone know? Also how do I make the walls able to stand on?

Just wondering if we shouldn`t have a separate Mod section? This areas beginning to die of anyhing interesting to talk about for those of us who aren`t actually modding.

Leviath you should post a large picture of your map, hard to see.

I haven't been able to get the bridges to work, so I replaced them with land bridges for now (which probably works better for battles). So here's a rough version of my "Fight for the Town" map.

The maps can be used in an SP campaign. The problem is, the script used to "inject" these maps into a campaign works by replacing the auto-generated map at an x,y co-ordinate (however I think a "replace all maps with circle of diameter z, centre x,y" type script exists for S2).

So map makers better get busy for players to have a chance of encountering these maps

The really exciting thing is we could, within a few weeks, have custom/unique siege maps at every city battle
