Hi guys, I hope you don't mind answering some questions:
1. What exactly are the effects of those carnivals/festivals (or whatever) ? You know ... those events that sometimes pop out at the beggining of a turn saying that if you let the carnival/festival to be held (and you must pay 2000 or 3000 gold) you knights/priests/princesses will gain experience or something like that ... There is a festival for each: for example I think the event that says you knights will gain experience is called tourney and it costs 3000 gold; so how exactly does it affect my knight units ? And same for the other 2 events, how do they affect my priests/princesses ?

2. I read a couple of days ago in a random topic here a reply where someone said that vanilla SS6.4 uses an older version of RR/RC ; so where can I find the latest RR/RC ? because obviously I don't want to play the older version when I can play a better, more balanced etc. one.

2. there are none... people need to understand there is actually nothing such as latest RR/RC or any RR/RC for that matter, RR and RC is actually only a name given to the systemic rule set/approach created by Point Blank when he created the units stats (and also the combat mechanic as a whole) and units recruitment system by modifying the EDU and EDB.

in other words, the whole RR/RC can be likened to a mathematical formula used to calculate something, you have to insert the number yourself or in this case, edit the EDU and EDB yourself; there is RC 2.0 guide there and some submods have already using that to rebalance the entire unit rosters.

Wrong; there is a latest RR/RC, and I find it surprising that someone who has been a regular in the RR/RC Compilation forum could say such falsehoods. PB is constantly refining and improving the system. The version of RR/RC used in the RR/RC Compilation is more recent (and therefore better and more balanced) than the one used in 6.4, and the upcoming RC 2.0 has lots of improvements over even that. RC 2.0 will be used in the next version of the RR/RC Compilation, which will be based on 6.4, and will be incorporated in SS 7.

just can't think before post, eh?

1. RR/RC Compilation is a whole another separate version of SS that need to be downloaded fully (a whole 5GB or something)
2. RR/RC Compilation is based on older version of SS (6.1) that actually labelled as SS 6.2
3. RR/RC Compilation, as far as battle balance & feels, although use a newer version of RC is not on whole other dimension than SS 6.4 with it's much older RC version
4. RR/RC Compilation is not even using the latest RC 2.0 rule set from PB
5. remind me again what is RR/RC? you cannot simply download RR/RC and applied it to your game just like what some people here keep asking for, it much more complex than that and PB himself even said do not install it over 6.4 http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=524961 (I assume it need to be installed only over RR/RC Compilation)
6. the only easy way to have the latest RR/RC is by using submods that already use that, like HURB, which rather radically change the SS and not what people (and OP) ask.

2. It includes 6.2.
3. The guy wanted the latest and best.

5. It would be simple enough for someone to copy all the relevant EDU and EDB entries into his 6.4 installation.
6. Hard and time-consuming are two different things.
