Widescreen option is set for aspect ratio 16:10 I think, not 16:9, so choose resolution with this ratio.
Widescreen wasn't common back when the game(or when the engine was developed) was released.
problem is: if I choose widesrceen in options city names float from their correct spots making the game unplayable.

I play 1920x1080 with both battle and campaign resolution set to that, and tick the 'widescreen' button and have no issues?

I tried 16xx x 10xx and it has correct sizes. (with a black frame left and right though)
Will try the widescreen option again...
EDIT: Works now. thanks!
