    More seriously, I don't think I would conquer whole Britain anyway because I like to play in more ''historical'' dimensions- and War of the West is the first mod I see that seems to give me the opportunity to do so with Scotland; in most other mods - or in Vanilla - Scotland was just so wee (2-3 provinces, no Vikings) that it wasn't really possible to play this way.

    Somebody finally figured out how to do proper bump mapping and art for the soldiers of MTW2. I will be watching this mod!!!

    Medieval Real Time, Mount and Blade style Historical Combat. Besides it is now free.

    I just wish there was a bit more colour in the clothing of the units. Of the three previews, I feel England to be most lacking, followed by Scotland. Don't get me wrong, I love the grittiness of the middle ages look you've gone for, it's refreshingly filthy! The only thing is that the more courtly nations (Eng, Fr, HRE etc.) would still have a bit more colour on their surcoats, because of the diversity of the elite class wanting to outdo the others.
    This is gonna be a spectacular mod
