where's the kilts!? ya can'ne have scots without the kilts, ya great galoot!
I don't know what I should say, but hey, the stuff I've seen here (now and before) is just excellent! I love how your units look as if they were real - the textures look more concrete than any other textures I've seen.
This preview is most awesome.
My best wishes for the whole WotW team!

To the artists that are crafting this masterpiece, more than once i've praised your brilliant work, and again i do it here. In fact, i must admit, in all strategy games i've ever played (all TWs, Paradox games, etc.), i've never been interested in playing as Scotland, but only this preview greatly incited me to try it in this mod .
Also, if i may, without being nitpicky, i guess there is a really minor mistake in the OP description, second paragraph, first phrase there is: "to the east, the Lordship of the Isles", but wouldn't it be in the western side of the country (the Hebrides, Skye and so forth)?

Very lovely, gritty units you have!
The Chevalcherie des Bordures unit is a direct reference to my ancestry. I am a direct descendant from Clan Johnston, a semi-nomadic group of horsemen and border reivers in the West March whom plagued the Normans for centuries.
Heir to Noble Savage in the Imperial House of Wilpuri
A great looking list of faction troops.
It put me mind of a book I've just finished reading by Jack Whyte called 'Rebel' (the bravehearts chronicles).
Set during the 13th century and told by a 'cousin' of William Wallace, about the man or at least the legend around the man, a great read.
Looking forward to this mod being released
Now That's a preview. Gonna rep you all
I'm having so much fun with 1257AD at the moment, and this mod will undoubtedly get me back to Total War gaming.
Congrats on the excellent preview

The Orcs of Gundabad Erin go Bragh FROGS
When I came back to Dublin I was court marshaled in my absence and sentenced to death in my absence, so I said they could shoot me in my absence"
The Irish won an Empire
The Scots ran an Empire
The English lost an Empire
"When I told the people of Northern Ireland that I was an atheist, a woman in the audience stood up and said, 'Yes, but is it the God of the Catholics or the God of the Protestants in whom you don't believe?"
- Quentin Crisp
There is one weapon that the British cannot take away from us: we can ignore them.
- Michael Collins
They have nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that can break the spirit of one Irishman who doesn't want to be broken.
- Bobby Sands
Annoying about the campaign map again and again finally led tae success... I knew it! Great to hear that, seems like I have to spread more rep
More seriously, I don't think I would conquer whole Britain anyway because I like to play in more ''historical'' dimensions- and War of the West is the first mod I see that seems to give me the opportunity to do so with Scotland; in most other mods - or in Vanilla - Scotland was just so wee (2-3 provinces, no Vikings) that it wasn't really possible to play this way.
