I don't know what I should say, but hey, the stuff I've seen here (now and before) is just excellent! I love how your units look as if they were real - the textures look more concrete than any other textures I've seen.
This preview is most awesome.
My best wishes for the whole WotW team!

Sorry, friend, but i must to be pedantic on this one subject. Despite the way we picture the Scots with kilts, its actually a modern invention. I truly mean it, when movies such as Braveheart or any media whatsoever portrays Scottish people before the Jacobite Uprising using kilts, its anachronistic (kinda like having the Pilgrims in 17th century America wearing jeans pants). If you'd like to know more about it, try to pick "The Invention of Traditions" by Eric Hobsbawn, which has a vast chapter dedicated solely to the "invention" of the kilt as an immemorial tradition held by the Scottish people. The inhabitants of the Lowlands were thoroughly influenced by the Anglo-Saxons and, later, the Normans, as you can see by the nobility's military dress (predominatly Lowlander, in this screens, as William Wallace is an example), while those inhabitants of the Highlands were influenced essentially by the Irish culture and dress.
To the artists that are crafting this masterpiece, more than once i've praised your brilliant work, and again i do it here. In fact, i must admit, in all strategy games i've ever played (all TWs, Paradox games, etc.), i've never been interested in playing as Scotland, but only this preview greatly incited me to try it in this mod.
Also, if i may, without being nitpicky, i guess there is a really minor mistake in the OP description, second paragraph, first phrase there is: "to the east, the Lordship of the Isles", but wouldn't it be in the western side of the country (the Hebrides, Skye and so forth)?

Very lovely, gritty units you have!
The Chevalcherie des Bordures unit is a direct reference to my ancestry. I am a direct descendant from Clan Johnston, a semi-nomadic group of horsemen and border reivers in the West March whom plagued the Normans for centuries.

It put me mind of a book I've just finished reading by Jack Whyte called 'Rebel' (the bravehearts chronicles).
Set during the 13th century and told by a 'cousin' of William Wallace, about the man or at least the legend around the man, a great read.

Annoying about the campaign map again and again finally led tae success... I knew it!Great to hear that, seems like I have to spread more rep
More seriously, I don't think I would conquer whole Britain anyway because I like to play in more ''historical'' dimensions- and War of the West is the first mod I see that seems to give me the opportunity to do so with Scotland; in most other mods - or in Vanilla - Scotland was just so wee (2-3 provinces, no Vikings) that it wasn't really possible to play this way.
