The OP mentions he's a nationalist. In what way? He can't be THAT nationalist if he's pro-EU.

In fact he is not a nationalist. He broke away from a radical nationalist party in order to form his own center oriented one.If he is a nationalist, then Tadic is also a nationalist.

I must say that I am impressed by how much Serbia has succeeded in moving on from the 90s and how it is has paid for its share of the crimes in those times. I agree with the general sentiment of welcoming Serbia back to the civilized international community. Kosovo may still be ed up, but I think that state is a ticking time bomb, personally. I have a feeling the end result will simply be the Serbian areas returning to Serbia and the Albanian areas going to Albania.

Sounds like no matter what there is one winner in Serbia and that is the EU.

From my perspective it was the "international community" that strayed from civilization.

Does this mean closer relations with Moscow? Delaying EU membership? Harder stance on Kosovo? The rise of the right wing nationalists is interesting first Greece now Serbia. Though I did view Tadić as a bit timid...

It's pretty explicit he wants a closer relationship with the EU and membership.

Bloody hell people, for the last time,NIKOLIC IS NOT A RIGHT WING NATIONALIST!If nothing, these elections showed that that kind of policy is in deep crisis, since the Serbian Radical Party, the most radical and nationalist in the whole political spectrum, that was the biggest party for years in Serbia, was left out of the parliament. And the only party with a stronger national policy than usual is the DSS,of the former premier Kostunica, who got only more than 7%.

Can we have at least one thread that doesn't devolve into Kosovo CW? Just once?

Anyway, it's an interesting trend that is happening across Europe, people are voting against the incumbents rather than for an ideology. That's potentially dangerous when it comes to extreme parties getting a large % of the vote (for example Greece). But for Serbia is simply means they've shifted from center right to center right. The OP title is a misleading to say the least.

I like the Finns. As a race of men, i fear them. They unnerve me but in a good way. The only race that the Russians fear too. We do need that. The problem is they rely on Nokia too much. If Nokia goes down, then we are gonna have lots of really really white people holding out their hands for a bailout.

Now that is insulting, the Finns were under Swedish control for 700 years and we sure as hell taught them northern European fiscal discipline, furthermore if Nokia would crash we could sign up every angry Finnish man in an army and direct them at our enemies. Since just look how great Sweden was when we had Finnish men to throw at our enemies, we dominated the baltic and as soon as we lost the Finns we became neutral pussies.

You see. ^this is what we need in the EU. This kind of can-do-attitude is what will make us strong. The Men of the North will one day save us all. It would be an honour for us for Finland to join a smaller EU. Hitler was very fond of the Finns for good reason. He was often said to be a good judge of character by his peers.

New Northman national anthem! Dominate the lower lands! That worked so well last time!
