he Iron Baratheon's Saga
n the year after landing 297 Lord Maegor Baratheon, first brother to Lord Robert, the Second of his Name, of Storm's End, was crowned King Maegor, the First of his Name, King of the First Men and the Andals and the Rhoynar, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, in the event of the death of his nephew, King Robert the Young, First of his Name, in the same year.
King Maegor started his work in the Kingdom as the Regent of the late King, as the scripters state elsewhere, and afterwards took his place when the young prince of all Westeros died of a wound desease.
Maegor then proceeded to reunite many vassal Lords, securing his position in the Iron Throne with temperance and humbleness, keeping away from his heart bad councils and taking good ones as they came. The King assured that peace would reign in Westeros, and that war would take some time to befall them again, if he had power to prevent it.
The King asked for the Prince of Dorne to come to King's Landing in the same year of his coronation. He wished to heal the wound between the Dornish and the rest of the Seven Kingdoms, but, alas, the Prince was not amused and made it clear that the slaughter of his family would not be forgotten.
